as of 1.6, it works, but really inefficiently. pawns pick up items next to a shelf, walk across the map, drop the item there when they pick up something else, then walk back, Can't remove mod from an existing save.

When "Allow putting corpse into inventory" is enabled, temporary members or colonist who are overburdened cannot carry corpses(by vanilla method).

Happens to me too. I have several pawns literally starving themselves as they take haul many items then take forever to unload everything.
I do get the old “standing” activity that ppl used to complain about years ago sometimes. But luckily it’s a quick fix with a draft and undraft.

Is it just me or does this mod seem way less efficient as of 1.6?

I'm constantly watching my pawns pick up something right next to the stockpile zone/shelf it should go to, walk across my entire base to deposit another item, then walk allll the way back to put the first item away.

can the "pick up and haul" make the pawn "pick up and haul" the surrounding items near the designated item? like for example 3 cells radius around the hauled berries.

Is there a way to override this when you REALLY just want to haul one item? For example, I was setting up a mortar shell shelf in a hurry while staring down a mech automortar. I tried to tell a pawn to prioritize hauling the shells out of the main storage to get them near my mortars. The pawn proceeded to pocket the shells and then start picking up all kinds of food items to rearrange the whole damn freezer before they would have dropped off the survival-critical mortar shells. I had to resort to drafting them and dropping the shells on the ground in front of their intended destination so that I could reload in a timely fashion.

There's a current bug where pawns will pick stuff up from the cooking and butchering benches as they're being used, making it really annoying

This mod wont work for me. Not using inventory for hauling at all. They just pick up the stack and go. As if i am playing vanilla.

There's an issue with hauling multiple items that are ment for multiple stockpiles.
Say for example that a pawn picks up some potatoes, and two rock chunks.

The potatoes go in the freezer and the chunks go in the dumping stockpile.

For some reason though my pawns pretty much always put one chunk in the dumping stockpile, then go to the freezer to store the potatoes, and then proceed to dump the remaining chunk.

The pawn should check for proximity when emptying their inverntory after hauling, so they store the closest items first.

@Darkerowl Naw the game is just annoying with body burry. What you gotta do is build a grave first and set the storage to crit then it will let you burry. If you have another storage space for bodies it has to be set lower than the grave priority or they wont move it.

So I have noticed this issue where, an foe will go down and be dead and the mod/game wont let me bury the body right away, saying its too heavy, the only fix is to strip the dead and it will let me carry them and bury them most of the time. I think the mod keeps trying to put bodies in the inventory instead of carry since that is what the mod does. But bodies are not light.

@Haraise no Tenshi Probably some work types related mod moving things around. This mod's HaulToInventory is placed in the same category vanilla hauling is in by default, and is at least supported by FSF complex jobs

Why are my pawns still using hauling to inventory even when they are not assigned to do hauling? Am I missing something? As pawns actually incapable of hauling will not do so

Can we somehow integrate PUAH with manual hauling orders? So that if I order to pick a single stack of something, as long as otherwise PUAH would be able to, it would also haul other items around?

is it normal that they pick EVERYTHING up, even without proper storage place?

i forbit unfertilized eggs in my fridge, but they keep picking them up on their way with other stuff, and when they dont find any storage for it, they just drop it right where they stand. sometimes in the middle of a doorframe, keeping the door stay open....
