Sucks
Rob Muldoon Gaming 15 Dec, 2023 @ 10:58pm
Ah I figured it might be... What a shame, so many great steamships completely buggered in one go. I can't blame you for holding off.
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 15 Dec, 2023 @ 10:50pm
Filling the water? yeah, updates screwed that, among other things. Thanks, was actually planning on creating a Freshspring two, got pretty good progress but with the state of the game it's not a great idea.
Rob Muldoon Gaming 15 Dec, 2023 @ 10:47pm
Hi mate, brilliant ship. The only problem I can find is that I can't fill up the boiler following your tutorial to a point. I am guessing this is an issue caused by the update? Cheers.

How many times the piston strokes. Up or down
Titanic Stuff, And More! 3 Jun, 2023 @ 6:08am
ahhh, so its basically how many times the engine has rotated or how many metres?
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 2 Jun, 2023 @ 5:26pm
similar to an odometer on a car
Titanic Stuff, And More! 2 Jun, 2023 @ 9:34am
what is a stroke counter?
Austrian 17 May, 2023 @ 12:20pm
Amazing.
Skelly Gaming 5 May, 2023 @ 11:22am
How do you sin the freshspring?
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 8 Feb, 2023 @ 4:53pm
Was it not? It was in service in Malta for the Navy for about a decade I forget exactly when. Then went over to the PAS in 1977 then civilian hands.
Wilwin01 8 Feb, 2023 @ 11:40am
quick note

RFA Freshspring never existed, its sister ships were in the RFA but freshpring (in Bideford, Devon) was the only one of its class not in the RFA
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 10 Nov, 2022 @ 12:16pm
the one under the ladder? that's the stroke counter. It doesn't work well or at all I don't think I checked that.
Titanic Stuff, And More! 10 Nov, 2022 @ 11:00am

HistoryOnPaper 18 Sep, 2022 @ 10:01am
can i use the lift rafts i will give you credit
iplaygames5 16 Sep, 2022 @ 10:44pm
oohhhh ok
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 16 Sep, 2022 @ 10:00pm
Pressure is on a PID, relief valves open at 20 bar which in game is like 8 Pressure. Only way to blow the boiler is a crownsheet failure or damage.
iplaygames5 16 Sep, 2022 @ 6:23pm
just stopped at 18 bar went down now
iplaygames5 16 Sep, 2022 @ 6:19pm
just checked the vid you made 20 bar right?
iplaygames5 16 Sep, 2022 @ 5:59pm
o
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 15 Sep, 2022 @ 11:22pm
Why would you want to, that hurts. Too steamy.
iplaygames5 15 Sep, 2022 @ 10:21pm
is there a way to blow up the boiler
Ole' Exploder 28 Aug, 2022 @ 6:11pm
Oh. I was curious because I think a year ago there was a version of this that was modded.
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 28 Aug, 2022 @ 4:27pm
Uhhhh no? not yet anyway hehe
Ole' Exploder 28 Aug, 2022 @ 7:51am
This is a very cool boat but wasn't there a modded version of this?
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 27 Aug, 2022 @ 2:44pm
It's working on my end
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 27 Aug, 2022 @ 2:33pm
Engine room and bridge breakers on?
MACHINEGIRL 27 Aug, 2022 @ 2:31pm
Lights does not seem to work...
Auta5tic 18 Jul, 2022 @ 1:34pm
i was just asking
rotanev 18 Jul, 2022 @ 12:50pm
leave the man be he just spent 3+ years making the most realistic ship on the workshop
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 18 Jul, 2022 @ 12:25pm
no
Auta5tic 17 Jul, 2022 @ 5:11pm
are you going to add steam whistles?
rotanev 12 Jun, 2022 @ 9:23am
PS: Can you label some stuff? E.g: dials in the boiler room, one goes up to 17.5-ish, and im not sure if its the pressure.
rotanev 12 Jun, 2022 @ 4:02am
Floor? Could you send me an image marking it?
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 12 Jun, 2022 @ 3:57am
Starboard side, next to the condenser (big circular/heart shaped object next to the engine) It's on the floor.
rotanev 12 Jun, 2022 @ 2:43am
where is the circulating pump?
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 8 Jun, 2022 @ 4:17pm
Yes that is intentional, can't fit coal ducts to the fireboxes without doing that.
Auta5tic 8 Jun, 2022 @ 3:48pm
the 2 boilers on the port and starboard sides of the ship are upside down
Sir_Lunchalot 8 Jun, 2022 @ 3:33pm
No problem, I’m glad to help!
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 8 Jun, 2022 @ 12:34pm
oh yeah I meant to change that. Thank you, I will fix that later today
Sir_Lunchalot 8 Jun, 2022 @ 4:00am
I have noticed one other thing in my use (and great enjoyment) of this ship. The propeller seems to turn the opposite way to the engine, which, unless the prop shaft was geared, is impossible. Is this just a concession, or is it a bug?
RandomThingsPosted  [author] 8 Jun, 2022 @ 12:23am
Not possible with the coal ducts and firebox placement. You can turn on inf fuel but be careful because it might explode.
matpol98 6 Jun, 2022 @ 2:10pm
Awesome ship mate, love the details you've put in! Only complaint from my side is the fact I dont have friends, so an automatic boiler feed would be a little handy, still use it for fun sometimes tho!
Davethebasic 4 Jun, 2022 @ 4:42pm
the ship has way to many steps to get it moving and it would be easier to move if there was a real helm and the fact its like a maze in the engine room just makes it harder to under stand what you supposed to do
Sir_Lunchalot 1 Jun, 2022 @ 3:39pm
On the starboard side of the engine next to the valves for the general service pump there will be the controls for the circulating pump.
Scoot 1 Jun, 2022 @ 12:32pm
The instructions were a bit vague, I cant find the circulating pump.
Booze_Rooster 29 May, 2022 @ 9:10am
Yep. Thought the first time I messed with a valve or something. Spawned again. Took about two minutes and the deck was awash. I’ll get you a photo next time I’m on
