RFA/SS Freshspring (Official Release)

Description
It's been a long two years.

I started this project back in December of 2019 when I came across the RFA Freshspring. Ever since I have been trying to get almost every detail right down to the electric wiring. I spared no expense and now it has paid off.

I present to you the RFA Freshspring in all her glory.

Thank you to all that helped out or gave feedback. It is much appreciated. And many more thanks to the SS Freshspring Trust who has been restoring this vessel since 2013.

Their website where you can check out the ship, schedule a tour, or donate.
Steam is being buggy about the link so just search up Freshspring Trust on google and you will find them.

Specifications

- Top speed: 9.5-10 knots
- Length: 41.5 meters (Longer than the real ship I know, but I had to have space to fit detail.
- Width: 7.25 meters
- Height keel to mast: 17 meters
- Max range: Untested, I did some tests at a firebox temp of 155 and was able to go about 40-50km. But I added the ability to lower the temp to 135 or so and increased the bunker by a couple hundred units.
How to operate - I will release a separate video showing how to get the ship moving, but for now I can offer a typed instruction

The ship works best in low physics for starting, once out to sea medium or high can work. Depends on your pc of course. The ship should work well in multiplayer as well as long as nothing crazy is spawned in addition to the ship.

*How to start*
Video in

1: Head to the boiler room, there are two doors next to each other on the superstructure. Go into the most forward one.
2: Drop down the ladder (Ladder is not real but has a real one attached if that makes sense.)
3: Fill the fireboxes with coal and then press the light button on the panel above the firebox.
4: The temperature of the fire can be changed by using the two arrow buttons on the center furnace.
5: Once up to pressure, head to the bridge or fan space and go through the small hatches to come to the boiler space, there should be a bunch of safety valves and valves/pipes. Turn on the Main and Auxillary steam line keys.
6: Make sure to keep coal in the firebox, as well toggle the key (Main Feedwater Tank), should be on a set of keys near the floor on the port side. Once you have pressure you can flip the auxillary feedpump flip switch on the left of the boiler and then up the throttle on the auxillary feed pump. Keep the water in the boiler up as much as possible. If it goes too low the boiler will fail.
7: Afterwards you can climb up the fake ladder, there should be a real ladder near the top. Climb onto it then drop and you should land on the pipe rung and jump up. Head one door down to the engine room. It is cramped so you will have to do some parkour to get through. Now it is as simple as upping the throttle on the engine control near the electric panel.
8: Make sure to turn on the circulating pump, it is on the starboard side near the low pressure cylinder and condenser. Once moving you can head back to the boiler room and switch on the flipswitch on the right of the boiler so that the engine can automatically feed new water into the boiler instead of manually.
9: You can head up to the bridge and steer from the control handle.
This ship works better in multiplayer as you can have crew on the three different stations. I might add a system to automatically set the throttle based on the telegraph but it will be a separate version of the ship and not for a while .
If you have any questions you can ask em in the comments or head to my discord server.
Lights can be turned on by flipping the wanted switches in the bridge, and then increasing the throttle on the engine next to the fuseboard (not the main engine), and flipping main, engine room lights, and then dynamo cut in. You will need steam pressure of course.

Water can be drained by opening the valves to the left of the dynamo, any valve can be used to pump out, just make sure to open the inlet valve and set outboard near the pump once you turn it on. Bilge suction is the one you need to empty any flood water. It is slow so don't depend on it to save you.

Updates
August 24th, added aft Officers mess (WIP)

September 3rd 2022
- Flybridge is now able to be used for navigation
- Cargo tanks are now able to be spawned or filled with the liquid of your choosing. 70% capacity for each tank. Four forward, and two Aft
- Changes to propulsion, removed some turbines and used a flywheel glitch to achieve better speeds, 9.5 knots filled, and about 13 empty.
- Improved Fire Fighting capabilities.
- Spinning issue is now fixed, caused by track wheels in the front windlass colliding with the blocks causing added buoyancy and the spin.

Please report any problems you find with the ship and I will get to it as soon as I can.

Ah I figured it might be... What a shame, so many great steamships completely buggered in one go. I can't blame you for holding off.

Filling the water? yeah, updates screwed that, among other things. Thanks, was actually planning on creating a Freshspring two, got pretty good progress but with the state of the game it's not a great idea.

Hi mate, brilliant ship. The only problem I can find is that I can't fill up the boiler following your tutorial to a point. I am guessing this is an issue caused by the update? Cheers.
