Description
UPDATED TO v4.0.x!/b]

Have vanilla megastructures become too boring for you?
Have you ever wished for (mostly) realistic megastructure concepts to appear in game?
Do you want to be able to ascend to godhood and yet still stay ingame?

This mod adds 29 new megastructures to the game as well as a new Become The Crisis-Path, a new Endgame Crisis with multiple ways of dealing with and various different endings, new districts, jobs, ship components, resources, events, origins and much more!

You will be able to unlock the A Tier Megastructures after having researched the Mega-Engineering technology.
To unlock the Tier D+ Mega- and Hyperstructures, you need to have constructed or repaired either a Galactic Wonders-Megastructure or a Gigastructure if Gigas is installed.

Note: When using Gigastructures and the Machine Age, you should use the Cosmogenesis Compat Patch as well!
Using the Gigastructures Compatibility Patch is also recommended if you use both mods.

Also got a discord now for patch notes & bug reports. If you want to share ideas, ask questions or just chat feel free to join!

Part of Stellaris' Mod Highlight #8!

Megastructures:

- Shellworlds

- Double Shellworlds

- Triple Shellworlds
Shellworlds are giant artificial shells constructed around habitable planets to massively increase district capacities.
And yes, now you finally receive bonuses when constructing them around Ecumenopolises, Hive- or Machine Worlds!

- Gas Giant Lifter
Harvests a gas giant's atmosphere en masse for gases.

- Gas Giant Shellworld
A shellworld around a gas giant. Very big.

- Gas Giant Compressor
Turns a gas giant into a brown dwarf or star.

- Edersphere
An even bigger shellworld around 3x the size of a gas giant.

- Nanite Disassembler
Completely deconstructs a planet for resources.

- Stellar Hoop
A colonizable structure that reaches inside a star.

- Black Hole Suprashell
A behemoth shellworld around a black hole. very much space.

- Stellar Harvester
Accelerates a star's fusion reaction to extreme speeds, causing it to emit all its lifetime's radiation amount within a century. Also depletes the star. Massive stonks.

- Stellar Nanite Disassembler
Completely deconstructs a black dwarf for resources, leaving utterly empty space in the system.
Note: Can only be constructed if all planets in the system have been disassembled/removed already!

- Neutronium Compressor
Compresses a Neutron Star and harvests its surface to the core made up of quark matter.

- Stellar Zro Detonator
Injects Zro into a star and accumulates lots of matter to fire onto it, making it explode in a Psi-Supernova.

- Captive Star
A massive mobile Dyson Sphere. Throw a star into another star and see what happens!

- The B.I.O. Brain
Artificially grown, disciplined to support your research. Might become self-aware.

- The Abyssal Anchor
A behemoth cathedral pumped full of Zro, allowing deeper insights into the Shroud.
What could go wrong?

- The Horizon Brain
A behemoth megacomputer powered by a penrose sphere. Now you can play Crysis till the end of time!

- The Solar System Disintegrator
Shut off electromagnetic forces inside a solar system and slurp up the raw matter with a basement universe!

- The Interstellar System Creator
> Fusion Candle & Artificial Star Creator-Megas included!
Not enough systems? Just make your own!

- The Basement Gateway
Don't like the galaxy? Just create your own Basement Universe!

- The Dimensional Tearer
The ultimate ascension engine. Might have galaxy-wide side effects.

---- Missing Image - Tier G Hyperstructures ----
- The Interdimensional ARK
Something is devouring the galaxy. Only with galactic cooperation can it be escaped. Will the Galactic Community prevail?

- Hoopworld
A torus-shaped planet. Giant donut!

- Discworld
A flat planet.

- Freesphere
A huge inflated bubble containing floating islands.

- Stellar Shellworld
A habitable Dyson Sphere.

Strategic Resources
- Hydrogen
Great filler material. Also very abundant.
Appears in natural deposits and can be harvested through Gas Giant Harvesters + Shellworlds, Stellar Hoops and Nanite Disassemblers.

- Cultrobium
Very robust material, ideal for ship armor or active support.
Unlocked after having researched Nuclei Modification, gained through Gas Giant Shellworld/Edersphere/Suprashell districts and Neutron Compressors.

- Conscious Matter
A compound made up of raw biological neurons. Forming neural connections at an exponential rate.
Unlocked after taking the Engineered Evolution Ascension Perk.

- Nuclei Soup
Raw nuclei gained through solar system disintegration. Highly unstable.

Note that the atomic manipulation technology requires you to have researched Nanite Transmutation, which you will gain through having at least one nanite deposit within your borders!

Other Stuff
- New Victory Route
- Star Classes
- Bombardment Stances
- Ship Components
- Districts
- Jobs
- Technologies
- Traits
- Ascension Perks
- Events

Fully Dedicated Support for Gigastructures, Hypothetical Stars and Planetary Diversity!
This mod must be loaded AFTER Gigas and PD.

I also highly recommend using UI Overhaul due to the many districts some of the megastructures have!

This mod is NOT compatible with Real Space: New Frontiers.

Also save game compatible!

Oh.

you'll have to wait for the legacy version

not a bug, that is how jobs and housing works in 4.0

(On 3.14, for clarification)

I think I encountered a bug with the Hoopworld (might be present with other habitable megas), where the districts all add thousands of housing, and city districts give *3600*housing and 200 clerk jobs.

@Exan_Flo will do with the next update
@Argus I've seen that once so far ingame, it seems to be caused by Paradox/4.0, not much that I can do about it unfortunately. Building another colony ship and colonizing twice did work for me
@connorbuddy99 no
@Tia thanks for the report, will fix it with the next update

Small bug, MEDIUM_ARMOR_CULTROBIUM in ssh_utilities is using alloys for upkeep instead of cultrobium, like the other two sizes.

Is there an option to turn off megastructures for fallen empires? Or maybe have it be random if they have them or not. They're cool, but I prefer the way their systems look normally.
Argus 10 Aug @ 9:24am
Anytime I try to colonize one of the new habitable structures, it immediately gets decolonized. The origins for the new structures also start with no pops or buildings
