Climate Catastrophe
Start on a continental planet with the modifier "Destabilized Climate" that increases energy and research, but decreases habitability and food production, start with a few open district slots, and the rest covered in polluted oceans, toxic swamps, and graveyard slums. Start out with a couple of destroyed buildings, both food processing facilities. The Destabilized Climate modifiers has a few decades before it turns it into a tomb world, to remove the modifier it costs a large amount of energy, influence, and terraforming gases. Completing the project gives you a permanent terraforming boost speed and gives you terraforming technology.

Alien invasion
Start off with x amount of pops from another species and some destroyed buildings. You can decide to kill the species by purging it or co exist with the species. Both could grant rewards like xenophobic militarist and authoritarian support for your government/factions as well as a 1/3 solved design for a weapon or ship. Or you could co exist on the planet allowing for a boost in research to social or/and physical aspects and aswell as boosting support for xenophilic, pacifism (you can leave this out), and democratic support for government/faction. Now to continue the storyline you could possibly make a storyline to track down the aliens civilization in the game and either invade them or find peace with them. Edit it however you would like i just thought it could be a cool idea.

It is similar to near extinction. However, I have not implemented anything like tracking down the aliens civilization. I will add it to my to-do list. Thank you

Uplift Mania
General Idea: Start in your main world with your main species as well as multiple randomised pre-sapient species. (Anywhere from 1 to 3, each would also have anywhere between 1 pop to 3 pop)
You could have certain technology/technologies related to uplifting already unlocked or have a 33% tech research boost to every single technology potentially related to uplifting.
Empire must be some dedree of xenophile or egalitarian in order to start out with this particular origin. For every species in your home planet that you uplift, you get a permanent 5% bonus on Society Research.
In-Game Description: This society has always appreciated fairness and intelligence, and has coincidentially evolved on a world full of various species that are very close to reaching sapience. The unification of this civilization has brought with it the idea of intervening as fast as possible where nature may take millions of years, and elevate their pre-sapient brethren and live with them as equals.

Oh, also I noticed a very tiny mistake; the Disturbed Development origin is not written properly, in-game right now it's called "Disturbed Developpment" with a double P. Nothing huge or concerning of course, but I thought I'd mention it.

Thanks, much appreciated. I've been looking forward for a mod update myself, hope we'll see it happen then. c:

Something like the Vasari from Sins of a Solar empire. A civilization that has recently arrived in the galaxy fleeing from an ancient enemy. Look into the lore of it, I think you'll find some inspiration.

Really cool mod update! Just gave it a go and really loving what it has to offer so far. Happy to see it get updated! Glad to see my suggestion made it in too!

It would be a lot of work, but would you be willing to recreate the "After the Rapture" origin? It was a post-player-crisis galaxy start where every star has been destroyed and you're left on a single habitat that survived by some miracle with a few pops. It was possible to run into one other surviving civilization eventually too.

@Kashino. I'm glad you like it

@TrueWolves It's an interesting origin, i've been looking into harder to-do origin for some time now, I'll see what I can do
