@Bez - Funny what you can find here! XD
Bez 8 Jan, 2023 @ 2:05pm
Haha, I searched this on a whim and didn't actually expect a result.

Nice! Will take a look at those once I can! Likely you could make the AU edition of Clue easily - one of those "renamed for no reason" titles! "CLUEDO"! Likely the only difference! 😂
Master Cylinder 31 Oct, 2022 @ 8:49pm
There has been a really nice version of Nightmare on the Workshop for a while, so I didn't touch that one. I did on the other hand make the sequel Atmosfear: The Harbingers with the Soul Ranger expansion, Star Wars The Interactive Video Board Game, and The VCR Mystery Game Clue

@Hobbit Head : Whoa, cheers! I had no idea my mod would be a first domino! XD :)

I also appreciate the offer, I might use a few of the assets! Just need to free up the time!
(Currently busy with family affairs for a few months!)

Which VHS games? If it's NIGHTMARE (aka ATMOSFEAR for the UK), that'd be cool. Especially if it has an alternate box for each version!
(Similar to the TNG game, which has white with gold font for America, black with blue font here in AU! Special Edition box? Saw it on RedLetterMedia videos, up on the shelf.)

ESPECIALLY if it has the expansion (now or later)!
(TNG planned to do likewise, which is why it has "A Klingon Challenge".)

I realized that I really only asked permission to use your stuff, but I left out something important. If you want to use any of the stuff from my version, then you absolutely should! I got a couple of nice things that I was able to make with some of your assets, like a custom Bij deck that uses 3D models instead of cards to give it an authentic feel, working Tricorders/iso chips, and stasis fields that work really well if you put snap points on the board. Any and all of that is absolutely up for grabs. Thank you again for the inspiration! Your mod is pretty much convinced me to remake a few other VHS games.
Certifiable  [author] 22 Oct, 2022 @ 6:36am
Not sure if anything else in the box, already scanned and modelled the ACTUAL VHS TAPE!
(NO JOKE, the entire model is 100% my VHS of the game! No shortcuts!)

The last possible item might be the literal box, but that'd be overkill. 😂

But yeah, all of this hinges on time, energy etc.
(I might have typed this before, but I'm constantly fighting my epilepsy when not gaming, so this mod alone was personally quite the achievement!)

But of course, if I get it started/finished, of course I'll want to share it with the fleet! 😉

@Skewed - Interesting! I might ponder just how easy it'd be to bring across, since I did leave a few small items out!

- The manual (more like a 4 page leaflet lol)

- Stickers! (Rank pips, Badges, possibly more)

Since, in this day and age, unless one sole colour runs out, they could be reformatted to be printed on decent A4 sticker paper! Why do they exist? You're supposed to slap your commbadge before answering Kavok! 😂
(Roughness not recommended for those with sensitive boobs/moobs!)

Not sure if rank is random desired rank or chosen at the start with die roll. More likely latter!

Since the collection has been barely touched, the original sheet is mostly intact!

Thanks for the reply!! Tabletop Playground, like TTS, supports non-VR as well-- they just have WAY better implementation of controls for movement and interaction. As I understand it, users in their community have worked to streamline the process for bringing projects from TTS over to TTPG. It goes on sale every-so-often, so might be worth wishlisting to keep an eye on.

hahaa, I had played this with friends once, way back in the day, but I got MOST of my playtime out of a copy I picked up for $5 at a Value Village(canadian thrift shop chain) in the mid 00s when everyone was getting back into boardgames in a big way. ^_^
Certifiable  [author] 3 Oct, 2022 @ 1:15pm
skewed - Only just heard of the title via you now! Been away several months! I don't have VR yet (unsure if my epilepsy wouldn't mind it or go nuts) but I have a fascination with the tech, so not yet, but not impossible!

And thank you! Of all things, I discovered it at Cashies (Cash Converters - Aussie pawn shop chain) and got to use it a little, not a lot!
Certifiable  [author] 3 Oct, 2022 @ 1:09pm
Hobbit Head - Very cool 1701-D Engineering style table! I might be slightly hypocritical for holding back endorsement of using my mod as a base, but I guess I'm proud of the effort resulting so well! By all means use it yourself! Perhaps I'll change my thoughts in the future! It was a hard effort with my epilepsy making the effort twice as hard, never mind all the polish being MOUSE ONLY, NO STYLUS! X)
Certifiable  [author] 3 Oct, 2022 @ 1:01pm
Pine - Classic mate! XD I hope she doesn't have a raging warrior's heart like my own B'elanna-ish missus!
skewed 5 Jul, 2022 @ 8:21pm
Have you ever considered/looked-into bringing this project over to Tabletop Playground? The VR control/UI support is /way/ better than what's offered in TTS. I'd love to experience bij only when Kavok commands it-- not just as a constant thing due to broken VR controls! ^_^

In any case, phenomenal work! Definite nostalgia-bomb that hit all the right feels.
Master Cylinder 21 Mar, 2022 @ 12:52am
Hey! I just wanted to say that I thought this was really great! I ended up using it as the base for making my own version with some tweaks and a 3D room environment (Another workshop mod that lets you play games inside of a Bridge).

With your permission, I'd love to be able to upload it on the workshop, but I'll totally understand if you'd prefer that I don't seeing how it uses some of your assets. Either way, here's how it looks!

I abandoned my wife to die when I got the chance.
10/10 Would do it again.
Certifiable  [author] 28 Apr, 2021 @ 3:30pm
Not sure - had trouble making something - in the actual board game, it's clear plastic cylinders!
For the meantime, just keep tabs on who's in Stasis? XD
FloosWorld 18 Feb, 2021 @ 12:28pm
What do you suggest to use as a substitute for the stasis fields?
Certifiable  [author] 30 Jan, 2021 @ 1:46pm
Sadly I only have this one to scan, polish and upload!
Rdup222 27 Dec, 2020 @ 3:30am
Man, I remember playing this over at my local comic convention in the games room one time. It's suuuper fun, but super cheesy at the same time.

Would love for someone to take up the challenge of porting over the star wars vhs game sometime-
Certifiable  [author] 28 Jun, 2020 @ 3:50pm
To elaborate on the spinner, it should react like you expect. Click and move mouse and let go of mouse button in one move.
Certifiable  [author] 28 Jun, 2020 @ 3:49pm
@fizbinking : The spinner should still work. Tested it multiple times. If it fails, you could just use a die to represent the spinner board.
(For example, if the board is two halves, 1,2 and 3 are one side, 4, 5 and 6 for the other. Roll and that's where it lands!)
FizbinKing 10 May, 2020 @ 5:37pm
how do you use the spinner?
Certifiable  [author] 27 Aug, 2017 @ 8:59am
@Daniella No worries! The goal was to make it for all fans who had/who wanted this, and I figured CBS/Paramount wouldn't care about a 22 year old board game you can barely buy on eBay! ;)
FemboyBard 3 Oct, 2016 @ 5:16pm
omg this is so old thank for make it!!:steamhappy:
Certifiable  [author] 9 Mar, 2016 @ 5:16pm
@StarLordMan My copy was on Audible, but might sell elsewhere too?
Certifiable  [author] 9 Mar, 2016 @ 5:15pm
@StarLordMan No worries mate! Still got my copy to finish off! So far witty/satirical as hell! =D
AquaticSolstice 9 Mar, 2016 @ 4:34pm
Oh I know all the names buddy, I would love to hear the audiobook with Wes at the Helm! Thanks man!
Certifiable  [author] 9 Mar, 2016 @ 4:18pm
@StarLordMan Tell that to the book "Redshirts" by John Scalzi. ;)
(Audiobook is read by Wil "Wesley Crusher" Wheaton!)
AquaticSolstice 9 Mar, 2016 @ 3:22pm
LoL how should I know? I'm just a lowely expendable Red Shirt.
Certifiable  [author] 9 Mar, 2016 @ 7:39am
@StarLordMan Mate, this is the comments, not the Discussions tab. XD
AquaticSolstice 8 Mar, 2016 @ 7:14pm
Anyone want to set up a time to play this game? *I am functioning within normal parameters*
Certifiable  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 6:29am
@StarLordMan Not too hard! Could even just post a discussion here for others who have this to join ya! =D Make it so!
AquaticSolstice 8 Mar, 2016 @ 1:42am
This is amazing. I need people to play this with!!!:steamhappy:

:)

@liam.vogl
(I left the fold wrinkles for a touch of realism. EVERY board gets those. XD )
Certifiable  [author] 31 Jan, 2016 @ 2:26am
@liam.vogl
Thanks mate! Wasn't the best scanner, but what couldn't scan/was bent or scratched, I polished in GIMP (Photoshop alternative) to the best quality!
LiamVogl 30 Jan, 2016 @ 5:58pm
Looks sooo nice
:steamhappy:
Certifiable  [author] 21 Jan, 2016 @ 2:18am
@Kim Jong Un
As long as I'm only supplying the Glorious Leader with board games and not uranium! ;)
(Glad you love it mate!)
Kenya Swallow 20 Jan, 2016 @ 6:43pm
I had this game when I was little! I'm so happy! I can play again.
Certifiable  [author] 29 Dec, 2015 @ 4:20am
For anyone who didn't know, you can have 3 to 6 players!
Certifiable  [author] 29 Dec, 2015 @ 4:10am
@MrHanMan Oh! Good point! By going for accuracy, people think "NEED 4", not "can have 4+"! Changing it now!
MrHanMan 29 Dec, 2015 @ 3:46am
You may want to mark it as 3, 4, and 4+ players. Some players could be missing finding it in the workshop if they are filtering on number of players.
Certifiable  [author] 26 Dec, 2015 @ 5:04am
EVERYONE WHO'S SUBSCRIBED/PLAYED A FULL GAME WITH FRIENDS:

Thank you for trying the mod! This was literal MONTHS of work (April 2015-December 2015 so far!) and giving up gaming I'd usually relax with!

After you've tried it, please rate so there's a star value at the top. Had a bloody amazing turnout of 204 visitors, 143 subs and 5 favourites so far (!!!) yet Steam's still complaining there's not enough ratings! XD =)

After 2015 is done with, I do believe I'll get back to the manual restoration as well as the optional printed stickers (easy with a printer and white sticker sheet these days! might even A4 format a version of them for 2015 use!), and even some texture polishing.

Again, cheers for all the interest. Some may go "less than 1K? That sucks!". I'm the kind of guy who goes "FIVE?! FIVE PEOPLE LIKE IT!", so you can imagine my surprise/delight at 143 subscribers!

Hope you all had a great Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa and enjoy the New Year's Eve!
Cert OUT!
Certifiable  [author] 25 Dec, 2015 @ 2:20am
@NAUTILUS Cheers! I figured might as well release the 99.9% finished one, even if manual and trinkets are a little longer! (Basic rules are in Discussion!)
SUPER MUTANT 24 Dec, 2015 @ 8:59pm
Congratulations on finishing this Cert! - just in time for christmas as well :D
A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Dishwasher 23 Dec, 2015 @ 1:05pm

Tyrant 23 Dec, 2015 @ 5:03am
Thanks for the fix.
Certifiable  [author] 23 Dec, 2015 @ 4:41am
@Karl And now it can be played globally!
Karl 23 Dec, 2015 @ 4:38am
Wow... Once upon a time, I owned a copy of this.
