@tilarium - I have the same approach to this.
tilarium 19 Nov @ 6:18am
AI in and of itself is not a bad thing. It’s a tool, just like anything else. It can produce some great things in the right hands. It’s like CGI was back in the day. It’s a great tool, when used right, but people hated it then, not it’s indispensable.
alankraskow  [author] 19 Nov @ 5:41am
@LeonSky5 - It's made with the help of AI. People don't like that apparently.
LeonSky5 19 Nov @ 3:32am
This Mod is Great. Thank you! I dont understand why this mod has only 4 Stars. Is there something bugged I dont see?
alankraskow  [author] 17 Nov @ 12:26pm
Hey @Pungun the collection is still in the works and it will require some more time to be cooked properly lol

I doubt it will be released this year as I'm a bot burned out and need to take a break from it.
I want also add reworked Humans to it, as I'm not happy with how different they look to where I'm going with this new collection, so it might take even longer.

At this point I have around 21 species in it. (Mind that some are just different versions of same species like humans or elves and some are just expansions of the existing ones, like Dwarves or Gnomes. But overall it will be a bigger pack for sure.

At some point it will include more stuff like cityscapes, fllags, namelists, traits etc.
There are also plans for origins, but since I'm working alone on it, it just takes long time to get things done.
Pungun 17 Nov @ 11:28am
Hey @alankraskow , how is your new species mod collection going on?

Would love to make a next play-through with some new portraits. I saw your comments under bunch of species mods requesting permission to use their work. I assume your species pack is actually going to be pretty big )
alankraskow  [author] 13 Nov @ 12:54pm
@KRONUS - Thank you! Appreciate it.
I'm currently working on a bigger species collection and humans will most likely be reworked in there at some point, as I found a better way to make portraits fit Stellaris theme. But probably it will come at a cost, of lowering the face diversity as it would be simply too much work.
KRONUS 13 Nov @ 12:44pm
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to check. I’ll be keeping an eye on your mods
really liked what you’ve done.
alankraskow  [author] 13 Nov @ 12:14pm
@KRONUS - Sorry for multiple messages, but I just realized something. When I overwrite vanilla empire and swap portraits for Commonwealth of Man to those of Human Legacy, the New Humans from UNE don't recognize them as same species.

Meaning in vanilla, two different human groups don't see each other as the same species by default.
alankraskow  [author] 13 Nov @ 11:16am
@KRONUS - I pushed a quick update adding scripted trigger. Hope this will make them recognize each other in game now. Thanks for bringing that up and please let me know if it works or not.
alankraskow  [author] 13 Nov @ 10:57am
@KRONUS - Glad you enjoy it :)

That's a good question, but to be honest I'm not sure.
However I don't think this is defined anywhere in the portraits.
Do you know if you create custom empire in vanilla game with Humans Legacy and New Humans, do they recognize each other as the same species?
KRONUS 13 Nov @ 9:38am
Hey! Great mod, thanks for making it. I used Remastered Human Portraits Expanded before this one.

Quick question though — do the three different portraits count as separate species, or does the game treat them as the same one? Like, if portrait 1 and portrait 2 are both xenophobes and meet each other in-game, will they actually hate each other?

UPDATE:
Fixed asset selectors errors for Human Revolution
alankraskow  [author] 9 Nov @ 5:12am
@Sage6639 thanks for bringing this to my attention!
Sage6639 9 Nov @ 5:05am
It did! Thank you!
alankraskow  [author] 8 Nov @ 4:49pm
@Sage6639 - Pushed a quick update. Think this should fix it now.
alankraskow  [author] 8 Nov @ 4:08pm
@Sage6639 - Can you give me more details? Which portrait group and which hair? I've sent you friend request, if you don't mind helping me out with this I will greatly appreciate it cheers!
Sage6639 8 Nov @ 3:12pm
I don't mean to be that guy, but there's a bug I've discovered. Some of the leaders you can hire show their hair when their available for recruitment, but they lose it once hired. Idk what to do and thought it would be best to bring it up here.
Hellhound 15 Oct @ 10:46am
@alankraskow Thank you, I've found a video tuto on that I will try it out. I'll message you if I struggle.
alankraskow  [author] 15 Oct @ 10:42am
@ዘቿረረዘዐሁክዕ - Unlikely.

But there is a way to download mods from steam via steamcmd without owning the game. If you need help with that you can send me friend request and I can help you out.
Hellhound 15 Oct @ 10:34am
@alankraskow Hi. Is there a chance you're going to upload this mod on paradoxplaza? I don't play Stellaris on steam and cannot find a way to install mods from the workshop on it for the life of me, only from the plaza. Your mod looks awesome, I'm planning on playing human or cyborg humans this time around and would love to run the game with this.
alankraskow  [author] 29 Sep @ 10:02am
UPDATE:
Disabled cityscapes
alankraskow  [author] 24 Sep @ 2:41pm
@tilarium - thanks for explanation. I did not modify the trigger nor the name, so it should work as it does in base game.
tilarium 24 Sep @ 2:32pm
@alan It's a scripted trigger (common/scripted_triggers/00_scripted_triggers.txt) that is applied at game start. As long as you didn't modify that file or change the name of the human_legacy species_portrait, then the legacy humans should still get the tag. @someonemaybe4 If you're finding your legacy humans aren't getthing the tag, you likely have another mod that is interfering with the trigger by either modifying the file mentioned or renaming the species_portrait.

is_human_species = {
OR = {
species_portrait = human
species_portrait = human_legacy
species_portrait = pla17
species_portrait = cyb12
alankraskow  [author] 24 Sep @ 11:25am
@someonemaybe4 where is that classified? Cuz I have to admit I have no clue, will have to check. However it should be exactly as it is in vanilla game.
someonemaybe4 24 Sep @ 11:08am
Does this mod classify the legacy human portraits with the "is_human_species" so it gets human flavor or is it still classified as a regular humanoid? Thanks!
alankraskow  [author] 29 Aug @ 6:52am
Hey @Red Eagle I don't have plans to add Atlanteans to this mod for now.

But to this mod I have distant plans to add I.A.A.T. from Twink.

There are some future plans to use assets from mentioned Atlantean for my Elves mod, which is still in the makings.

Can't promise when any of that will be added, because I burned out a bit lately and took a break from modding.

Meantime I can recommend this mod:
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3553446704&searchtext=

Which uses some assets from Atlanteans.
Red Eagle 29 Aug @ 4:36am
Hi Alan. Would you add this wonderful mod (Twinks Atlanteans) to your Human Species mod? It is one of the few mods that does not currently work, which is a great pity.
alankraskow  [author] 27 Aug @ 7:49am
@Imperialone currently yes. Only Human Legacy got the new clothes expansion so far.
Imperialone 24 Aug @ 7:06pm
Hello! Are the new clothes only for the older human species?
alankraskow  [author] 20 Aug @ 6:11pm

SalmonFeet 10 Aug @ 10:42pm
@alankraskow valid, no worries!
alankraskow  [author] 10 Aug @ 4:24am
@SalmonFeet - I'm still waiting for permission from the author to add the mod you asked about, but seems he hasn't been active for a bit now. Just thought I'll let you know that I didn't forget about it.
I don't want to add it and then be forced to remove it if he doesn't wish me to use it, cuz I would have to rework it myself to not break the saves of subscribers.
SalmonFeet 15 Jul @ 3:08pm
@alankraskow Wonderful!
alankraskow  [author] 15 Jul @ 2:33pm
@SalmonFeet I looked into the mod, the portraits are basically the same only new are the assets. I asked the author if I could add them to the mod, so will have to wait a bit and hope he will answer.
SalmonFeet 15 Jul @ 1:17pm
@alankraskow Thank you!
alankraskow  [author] 15 Jul @ 12:33am
@SalmonFeet I see what I can do.
SalmonFeet 15 Jul @ 12:27am
@alankraskow could you incorporate these portraits?

https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2122902758

They are a different version of the 'Human Hive' portraits you already incorporated, but have slightly different looks to them, would be greatly appreciated if so!
alankraskow  [author] 12 Jul @ 7:33pm
@Athena I just checked SE - Restyled and looks like it adds separate category of humans, while my mod overwrites the vanilla ones. So it should work together perfectly fine.
DanielAir 12 Jul @ 2:31pm
update: did some testing with the help of the mod author, and it turns out the mod is NOT responsible for the lag issue I was having, you can safely use it :steamthumbsup:
alankraskow  [author] 12 Jul @ 1:51pm
@DanielAir not sure how this mod could affect the lag. It's simple texture mod and I haven't experience it myself, nor anyone brought that to me before.
I think I saw you active in Modding Den, I will send u friend request and will try to help figure it out.
DanielAir 12 Jul @ 1:19pm
I feel like it's all humans.
alankraskow  [author] 12 Jul @ 1:12pm
@DanielAir not sure how this mod could affect performance. I haven't experienced a lag when playing humans and I don't play anything else. Is it all humans? Or specific group?

@Athena I have no idea, never used that mod. But if it overwrites the same files, then there would be problems. If it creates separate human group, then it should work just fine.
Athena 12 Jul @ 10:33am
Is this compatible with SE - Restyled?
DanielAir 12 Jul @ 8:34am
I get insane lag whenever (human) characters are on screen, maybe this mod is responsible?
alankraskow  [author] 9 Jul @ 10:23pm
UPDATE!
Another massive expansion has been added to the mod. Human Legacy now features over 150 clothing options across both male and female portraits. While some are recoloured versions of vanilla outfits, the majority are entirely new designs.
Enjoy!

UPDATE
New Human European Light Grey Eyes - Fix

Light Grey eyes are now a bit more realistic, compared to what they were before. Probably barely noticeable change, but it was driving me nuts lol
