Would love to play but installation is to complicated and only video is in Chinese or something... make it easier to download i don't wanna feel like a nerd hacker from a movie to play a mod... seems cool just make is easier to download please!

@Sentient_worm its left click tho, you need to click once then drag, not hold like selecting an area inside your sdafehouse

I tried following the directions in the FAQ about scavanging and I might have missed somthing but the scavange area option won't appear when I right click on the map

@Snejk the moment I read your comment and opened the game something like that happened LMAO.
I had an inmmate and he was always kinda rude to newcomers, I just approached 2 strangers (Apparently peaceful) this inmmate tried to rob them, my other friendly npc's didn't seem to like it and an all out war started right there I had 6 npc's following me, all armed with shotguns. EVERYONE DIED. It was funny

also add 10gb of ram to your projectzomboid64.json file in your install directory, this will speed up the game considerably

@Jordan98ish2 You used to be able to run them both together but now you have to do a little work around.

1. load your week one game as normal, let it load into the game, do a few of the things you would normally do when starting a new save.

2. Go back to main menu.

3. load your save but select the mod options and then turn on Knox Event Expanded.

4. You will now have to do the survivor generation thing. Game may freeze when you select the submit button after it calculates the survivors added. If this happens, close game down and do it again

You know have them working both together, but be aware its going to be very laggy
In the game, I create a girl who survives with her cousin, but technically she is the heroine's wife. So it would be nice if there was an option to choose a role for the companion, not just wife/husband.
@Snejk Hi. I have a suggestion for improvement. The game has a "Married" skill trait that allows you to play with a husband or wife. How about adding the ability to create full-fledged families at the start? For example, in addition to a married family, you could add a brother/sister (+cousins) and children. You can also choose multiple characters to spawn with you at home during setup.

@Holl lo There are hostile npcs that are armed as well, albeit they are not easily distinguishable and not evenly distributed in the world.

The way it's meant to work is that npcs start with being moral, and as they repeatedly see robberies or attacks, they will become more jaded and their morality is lowered. This in turn makes them more likely to rob you and/or become hostile against you, especially when hungry or thirsty.

This currently doesn't scale as well as I would like to, and it's one of the major issues I'm trying to balance.

I was mistaken, there really is aggressive npc's now. But they are all unnarmed inmates. Am I in the wrong or its supposed to be like that? Because honestly, they are as harmless like a zombie. Isn't possible to just have armed enemy npc's?

my game is crashing after a few minutes after enabling the mod, the mod itself doesn't have a problem but the vanilla is interrupting it and making my game crash

I like the idea, i have a lot of gripes though.
I wish managing the NPCs was easier, i wish i could just talk to them like AI. Prolly asking much.
Another thing is NPCs get stuck a lot from what i've seen.
How do i deal with NPCs attacking me? Can i not talk to them to negotiate?
After i killed a few, my NPCs started killing others on sight pretty much. I did not want them to do that.

Another issue is, i seem to get stutters and it keeps getting worse as it goes on. Restarting fixes it.
Will there be any issues if i just have 0 NPCs in the world besides my spouse?

this mod use to work with bandits and bandits week one, but after the last update, i get a black screen with those mods enable when the population meno should pop out ::c

@DANK1NG Are you sure it's because of this mod? B42 is generally very laggy, and I've had frequent performance drops on a good hardware. I changed the RAM allocation from the default 3GB to 10GB, and now the game runs smoothly even with 200+ mods.

華鳥風月 Did you install the mod on a clean version of the game or on the beta version? I installed the mod on the beta version (unstable), replaced the files as instructed, and everything worked.

Task suggestion that might help with NPC path finding when on guard. If it's possible, allow for multiple Guard zones to be created to make it possible to have the guard zones be outside of the base wall

Hi Snejk, im haveing a problem: mod is working by doing manual installation as been said, in this way it work, a new game will get the NPCs "normaly" but the isue is this: they start to simply die for no reason after some days have passed (more or less around 5 days to 1 week). Once it started in a matter of a couple of days i have no more NPCs. They are simply dead werever they were. Not by zombies because some die inside house with no breaches (i mean no broken doors nor windows) not even a dead zombie body even near to them. By the amount of days it takes them to start dying i guess it will be an issue like lack of food or water. What can it be? or maybe im doing something wrong (im not touching mod setups except a couple of times i reduced the factor of how fast they became hungry or thirsty from 0.5 (default) to 0.25, but with it or without it the problem is the same.

@TheHalfwayHere I would imagine it's probably some kind of conflict with the the simulation stage of this mod and the scenario selection from Week One? That's a rough guess though

Running into a weird issue trying to run Week One and Knox Event Expanded together. When first loading into the game I get to "Click to Start" and when I do it takes me to what would be the KEE setup menu where you choose the different variables, but it is just a black screen. It isn't frozen, I can still hear the menu if I press ESC, but even if I blindly click through the menu it won't proceed.

Any idea what might be the problem? It happens even if I run just the two mods by themselves, so no other conflicts I'd imagine. Both work fine separately as well. Funnily enough, if I try to use Day One instead of Week One it is perfectly fine.

The recent update makes it so you need to redo the manual install part of the mod, if your map is not loading that's probably it. Happened to me, that's how I know. Fixed by just doing the manual bit again.

Instead of creating a separate mod, I uploaded the PTBR translations (sep/24) in the discussions so they can be officially integrated into the mod
