I wonder if you can at least try fixing up citizen, refugee and rebel models since some models has
missing uvs, weird white textures or gloves not blending with each other

You can use the "Citizen tweaks" mod as a base

the snapping isnt that big of an issue, it seems to happen after not moving for a little bit, so it probably isnt distracting in normal gameplay

now there are two parts of her legs that are stretched out when she moves them and the bottom of her jacket seems to snap back into place every now and then

valve swapped the 2004 alyx.mdl for the 2006 alyx.mdl, which ep2 uses. alyx_ep2.mdl is entirely separate and used for her injured post-hunter model, but valve never shipped a non-injured version of it, so i rebuilt the back of her jacket and updated alyx_sheet/intro_alyxsheet myself

the weightpaints on her jacket are different in ep2. i could match them to hl2/ep1 more but it'd take me a while to test out

retextures have to account for ep2's uv changes or you'll get black squares on her hoodie and shoulder (alyx.mdl and alyx_intro.mdl only). this one by themanclaw works if it's loaded above my mod

i haven't seen ones for eli and gman. this mod by chalkymalky uses the ep1/ep2 kleiner model with some touchups and a 1024x512 facemap

@Grassyneptune I'm sorry if it sounds like a dumb question but did the higher poly Eli, G-Man, and Kleiner models in EP1/EP2 get back-ported to HL2?

the most obvious one is the advisor redesign. some characters like gman, eli, and kleiner have more polys and updated materials in ep1/ep2 that are a simpler backport than alyx. you can find mods on gamebanana that port the ep2 advisor to hl2 and vice versa

thanks again! i really appreciate the help. i'll leave them out for right now, they have some issues with wider motion animations like her point insertion anims, dynamic interactions, etc.

Sorry yeah the key difference is Valve renamed the bones from "jig_" to "hlp_" This also includes tweaked jigglebones to make them look better.

tested the original repo model with just the uncomment and it doesn't function as is for me. studiomdl marks them unused. importing into either XSI or blender the necklace bone is nonexistent and the other is weightless and named "jig.hoodie" instead of "jig.hood" like the qci. i haven't messed with jigglebones enough to properly remake them with confidence. if you still wouldn't mind sharing files i'd like seeing them

Awesome. They worked for me when I uncommented them but I also edited them to function better too. I recommend either enabling them or replacing the necklace mesh with the HL2 one so it has proper rigging instead of being fully static.

@THG i used the repo. i saw those jigglebones but neither of them were functional uncommented. wasn't sure about patching them or just leaving it be

Did you base this from the repo model or decompiles? The EP2 model should have pose helper bones and unused jigglebones for the hoodie and necklace. I can give you files for that if you're interested.
