Not it's perfectly fine to edit things to your liking as long as you don't redistribute it, as you said. I was just trying to help you resolve the white box issues you were having.

I understand it’s a licensing issue, even unpacking the mod without making changes causes this so you are right. Mods from nexus can be modified without the white boxes appearing. Just to be clear, I only modify stats like caliber, reliability, aim accuracy and ap based on personal experience with the weapons and strictly for personal use. I am not sharing them as i am aware of ownership rights and will only do so with permission from the authors

No if you delete the mod folder in AppData it will delete your changes.

Thank you i will try that, the caliber issue is probably caused by a conflict with bce guns that does the same so I solved it by preventing these changes. So far i was only keeping the files created on C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Jagged Alliance 3\Mods and unsubscribing from steam. Will deleting the files there keep the changes i made? I had the impression the compressed files from steam are always the original and any changes made on mod editor only exist in the appdata files

If you've opened the mod in the editor it turns all the weapons into white boxes. Same goes for character mods that have unique assets. You have to delete the mod folder that's created in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Jagged Alliance 3\Mods. That should bring the models back. No idea what's causing your caliber issue though. This is the first instance I've seen or heard of any such problem with the mod.

Yes both, the issue might be on the calibers mod, yesterday I played over 8 hours total and the problem stopped but the guns where turned into white boxes, then one mod merc, antonov, became a white box holding a rifle , sorry i don't remember which one, and i noticed the caliber name changed to 7.62x39x39x39 which means it was changed from the default by zulibs mod. I deactivated the caliber changes in the mod options and reinstalled the merc and this was fixed, I decided to patch the weapons manually, not a big deal, but they turned back to giant white boxes.
I did a lot of testing and they fail to render every time i change anything about the guns. I do have bce guns installed but I can’t understand how this can affect this mod. On bce guns, I reworked all the stats of all guns and patched calibers on some with no issues whatsoever

calibers keep changing back and forth everytime i reload a save game or move to a different map, i tried patching them manually and the guns in question turned to big white boxes, pitty as there were some nice weapons in this mod although not period correct

Ripper, just use the Cheats Menu mod. There's an option to "Add Ammo". Hope that helps.

Bug - SIG is 6.5 doesn't display the laser due to a barrel/RIS issue I believe.

grendel - I think those are only usable with the Tons of Guns mod. This mod doesn't have any rifles that fire them.

Grinch - Thanks for the update bud. I was wondering, would it be possible to get rid of the -3 range on the new IR scopes. I love the look of them and they function just as well as the originals, they just kinda suck if I put one on a 5.56 rifle since it drops their range to SMG levels.

Keep up the good work my friend. As always, can't wait to see what new goodies are in the pipeline. I'm hoping for MK16/17's.

No problem. Concerning the sound distance of the supressors: they are working in the same fashion as the vanilla ones. Unfortunatly the vanilla script only knows the 0 distance for them.

You have a dependency set with "Random enemy weapons", WHY? that doesn't seem like that should be a requirement but an add-on. Then that "REW" as a depenency on TONS Of GUNS, which also has quite a few issues.

Hanss - Steam achievements work for me and Tons of Guns is not a requirement, you just need to subscribe to the three items on the side under "Required Items" for the mod to work. Once downloaded you have to enable them in the mod manager as well.

@Grinch: Yeah, this mod is really amazing. Glad you're not discouraged with the new bugs. The mod tools or uploading process must be corrupting some of the configs or something similar. As always, can't wait for more.
