@Sternentier: Beliefs now work properly. Pantheons like God of the Sea will correctly recognize all aquatic resources, not just the vanilla ones.
@oni1313: To see aquatic or custom resources in WorldBuilder, you need to copy the corresponding .dds file from the mod’s ART/SV folder into this directory:
Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Resource\DX9
As for maps like Skirmish or Highlands, the defeat screen can appear if there are no valid plots due to missing coast or ocean. This doesn't happen with Compendium or standard map scripts. We'll look into fallback options, but for now it's best to use maps that include at least some water.
Let me know if anything else comes up — fixes are ongoing and feedback is appreciated.
Yeah, if you load a random 'Vanilla map' they show up just fine.
But on the map pack, all that happens is a few name changes of the vanilla resources.
I tried talking directly to Gaia about it; But all I was told was that:
"It's never been reported before, and that [ I ] may have a conflict going on."
But when they show up fine in a vanilla map, but not on the map pack; I know there is no conflict going on. So I just took it as 'Gaia doesn't want to bother trying to fix it'. Whatever.
I never see anything other than basic fish, blue crabs, humpback whales, and pearls. If I load a random 'vanilla' map they appear as normal; But on the 'Giant Earth' map from that pack, not a one shows up.
Just make sure to always clear ModUserData EACH TIME before you start a fresh game, and DO NOT clear ModUserData before loading a saved game. Also, not recommended if you play in Strategic View (most people don't, but some people do).
That said, do you have any idea if it's compatible with Vox Populi?
Thank you so much for your continued support for Civ 5 - your work really does make a massive difference!!
