This mod does not seem to run with Tunnels. Not sure why.

Still got tropical fish spawning right next to ice on the south pole.

See aquatic resources in World Builder, still don´t have a picture, although you copy the corresponding .dds file.On the map see picture equal to fish.

Thanks for the reports.

@Sternentier: Beliefs now work properly. Pantheons like God of the Sea will correctly recognize all aquatic resources, not just the vanilla ones.

@oni1313: To see aquatic or custom resources in WorldBuilder, you need to copy the corresponding .dds file from the mod’s ART/SV folder into this directory:
Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Resource\DX9

As for maps like Skirmish or Highlands, the defeat screen can appear if there are no valid plots due to missing coast or ocean. This doesn't happen with Compendium or standard map scripts. We'll look into fallback options, but for now it's best to use maps that include at least some water.

Let me know if anything else comes up — fixes are ongoing and feedback is appreciated.

Just a question - what are the chances of this mod causing issues with maps without any water? I setup games on Skirmish and Highlands with only rivers and ran into an issue where, once the game is loaded up, the defeat screen shows up. This doesn't hapen on Compendium Map scripts, only on the ones mentioned above so far (though I didn't go through other base map scripts to see if the same issues could occur)

@DireWolf,
Yeah, if you load a random 'Vanilla map' they show up just fine.
But on the map pack, all that happens is a few name changes of the vanilla resources.

I tried talking directly to Gaia about it; But all I was told was that:
"It's never been reported before, and that [ I ] may have a conflict going on."

But when they show up fine in a vanilla map, but not on the map pack; I know there is no conflict going on. So I just took it as 'Gaia doesn't want to bother trying to fix it'. Whatever.

@Wandering Mania- I do not see them either in Ynaemp. Moving on.

in the worldbuilder the Aquatic Resources don´t have a picture

Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work with the god of the sea pantheon. I had a couple coastal cities with 5+ sea resources, and only the vanilla ones gave me production.

UPDATE: Tropical Fish are now restricted to warmer waters (MaxLatitude set to 60).

Does this not work with the 'Yet (Not) Another Earth map pack'?

I never see anything other than basic fish, blue crabs, humpback whales, and pearls. If I load a random 'vanilla' map they appear as normal; But on the 'Giant Earth' map from that pack, not a one shows up.

What about resource buildings? But I guess Lighthouse and Seaport is already enough.

Do these have unique models for them ingame?
Gaia  [autor] 25 mart. 2024 la 4:10
UPDATE v532: Buildings (eg. Fishpond), Beliefs and Policies that grant extra yields to Fish or Improved Fish, will grant that same extra yield to all Aquatic Resources in this mod so they are not left behind.
Gaia  [autor] 4 febr. 2024 la 19:43
@update v5: aquatic resources will no longer spawn where there is an atoll.

Great mod and looking awesome! It doesn't seem to compatible with Yet Another Earth Map mod though. Do you think it will connect in the future?

Good

If anyone wants to add the strategic view, it is another set of tables that need adding to the mod so that the game can find the 'SV' art files (i.e., the ArtDefine tables). Also, the 'SV' files have to be saved as mipmaps. Once these are added, it works like a charm which is helpful for using with WorldBuilder as well. Thank you, Gaia, for the great mod -- very nice!

Just as a heads up, when the fishing boats advance in models with the eras the Fishing Boats for resources in this mod remain the same. Instead of the yacht-like fishing ships it remains the wooden ships.
Gaia  [autor] 24 nov. 2023 la 3:04
@Darrow: it has generic compatibility, and will work with any other mod.

Just make sure to always clear ModUserData EACH TIME before you start a fresh game, and DO NOT clear ModUserData before loading a saved game. Also, not recommended if you play in Strategic View (most people don't, but some people do).
Darrow O' Lykos 24 nov. 2023 la 1:47
Hey, these look awesome! I've always found the water-based resources to be severely lacking in variety...
That said, do you have any idea if it's compatible with Vox Populi?
