hes seriously just NOT fun to fight at all
It's basically name-checks yeah! That's why it's compatible with stuff not by us and so on, haha. Our roster does have lots of compatibility with itself, but we like to make things compatible with other creators when possible!
Really glad to hear you like the character! The swearing one is the fandub voice, surprised you haven't heard of it haha.
Also the remix (if it's the one I think you're talking about) was made by a friend of mine! It was used for several stages as well as Eggman's trailer! You can find it on his channel here!
10/10 Perfect character
PS: the music selection for the stages is great, too, I'm especially digging that one calling itself "E.G.G.M.A.N. Remix"
See, that's exactly why I asked, haha. Not the first time that specific buddy has caused people to come bug-reporting to me, unfortunately. And all because of that dev adding this "feature".
So yeah I suggest not having it if you wanna avoid this problem. That buddy appears harmless but is nothing but trouble unfortunately!
The main reason I ask is because the Talking Flower buddy has a "feature" where it will do exactly this with most of my characters, haha. The creator of that buddy is very toxic and they put that kinda stuff into their things pretty often.
Coincidentally, it's also the same person who made the Goomba buddy... But I'm not aware of that buddy having the same thing built into it, so I'm not sure!
In general I don't recommend using Flophawk mods for this exact reason. Not because they're bad, but just because they intentionally add stuff like this and basically make mods incompatible with eachother.
Plus, it causes me to get bug reports since people (naturally) think it's a bug with the characters!
If it's not any of that though, and you're certain it wasn't caused by a buddy / character in the match, then I have no clue unfortunately. Eggman definitely doesn't have any issues like this normally at least, haha.
The only one I ever remember using with eggman was YOU'RE GONNA TURN INTO A GOOMBA, which Rivals replays also were buggy with, but it didn't correlate to Eggman losing almost all his stocks, I don't really know what's causing that at all
Hi! Replays are pretty buggy in Rivals unfortunately, but there's something that might be causing both of those problems. Are you using any workshop buddy of any kind while playing?
He already is, although his Final Smash currently is somewhat placeholder as making an unique one would be a lot of work. Maybe a more special one will be made at some point, but no guarantees!
In general there's different stuff for these: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Silver (kinda), Rouge, and Chaos!
What lines there are and when they play depends on various factors though, like intro voice lines, lines when hitting a specific character, lines when being KO'd by a specific character, etc. As well as which Eggman voice you're using on top of that, haha.
Still, there's quite a few special voice lines, and they should work against any version of those characters!
I checked this out, and this is due to a quirk about how Eggman's hurtbox is shifted up slightly while in the mech due to how it floats.
That said, it would always hit if Peppino's slam hitbox was just a bit larger and he placed the opponent fully on the ground. The FSpecial hitbox seems a tad too small, which then causes weird cases like this against any character who might shift their hurtbox upward.
Two other examples of this is Alvis, where it just barely hits (so it's not an issue, but barely!), and an unreleased character in our roster where it always misses (said character also floats and heavily utilizes this).
Only way to fix that on Eggman's end would be to shift his hurtbox down while in hitstun, just for this specific interaction to work... So I think this is more on the other character to account for varying hurtbox heights.
Still, it's kind of a specific odd interaction, haha.
This can occur when both players are on the same x-axis on a platform. But for some reason he can still take damage if they both land on a different platform/x-axis.
No, missing alts is a common Rivals bug unfortunately. You can report it to the devs if you want, as there's nothing us workshop devs can do!
