That is not intended and very likely an incompatibility with an unlimited stamina mod you may be using.

how do i remove the weapon moving up and down constantly, i love every single other feature, and i cant find an option to turn it off in the config files

Yeah sGunplay should "work" out for the box with all modded weapons and optics, but it's very likely that a patch is needed to balance the weapons' recoils.

You can find some of these patches (e.g. sGunplay_FLAVA, sGunplay_SNAFU etc.) on my workshop.

While aiming down sight, hold the freelook button and the keybind you assigned and move the mouse around :)

Note that it will only work for when aiming down ironsights or non-magnifying optics

Hey simonvic, I just tried the freelook feature in and it looks like it's not working? or am I just using it wrong ? I treid to bind it on my mousewheel, push/hold it and move the mouse and nothing happend? Is there any specific binds/use case for that, or ? thanks :steamthumbsup:

sGunplay has been made so that it is very easy to mod (given that you know how to do some scripting), so there is no need to repack :)

it is kind of intentional; the lean doesn't look particularily good with "fullscreen optics", but yeah it can be easily added by overriding a script

Again, you would need to override a couple of scripts; it should be fairly easy :)

Hello simonvic. I like this mode very much and I want to use it on my server. First problem; Hunting Scope's not compliance with lean. Is this a soluble situation? Second problem; Since I want to create a server based on realism, I don't want statistics or any layout. Can I do this myself? Can you do it if I can't do it myself? If none of them are possible, I demand politely repacking.

Does anybody know of any compatibility issues with DR Jones Trader mod because as soon as i installed this 2 mods my trader has vanished. Very strange i dont see why a simple animation mod like this would stop my trader objects from spawning. Unless DR Jones Trader mod IS HAVING BIG PROBLEMS ATM. Anybody else having any issues. Honestly if there are issues with it i refuse to remove this mod.Its to good very nice work on making this mod cant live without it now.Cheers

If you're using any compatibility mod (e.g. sGunplay_FLAVA, sGunplay_SNAFU etc.) and you're looking to slim down the mod list, you're free to repack them, but not the main sGunplay mod (nor sFramework)

As always, I suggest against repacking (any) mod; not only because of the risk of using outdated versions (causing unnoticeable errors), but also because players will have to redownload many times the same mod, wasting network and disk usage
This is only my take; you do you :)

sGunplay has been made to be easily modded without repacking; if you need to mod something, let me know and I'll happily help you in doing so :)

most weapon mods should work with sGunplay, but it's likely that they are not balanced; that's why you probably want to also load the appropriate "compatibility mod" (a patch basically).
You can find some of them on my workshop page; my personal favorites are TacticalFlava and SNAFU weapons (they both play very nicely with sGunplay), but other mods are also pretty good.

If you find some optic/weapon/attachment not working properly, please let me know, I might have to update the compatibility mods :)

which weapon / attachment mods are people using with sgunplay for maximum compatibility. i've noticed in the past certain scopes with zoom functions cause bugs. though i figure long time users and / or the author would have some recommendations. overall, awesome mod and looking forward to implementing this :D

Unfortunately I can't work on a compatibility mod at the moment :(
You could try to ask the mod's author to offer compatibility to sGunplay (I'll happily help), so a compatibility mod won't even be necessary.

I see... unfortunately it's not something a mod can tackle, since it's just a post processing effect (the same used in vanilla DayZ) and it's implemented natively :(
All I can suggest is trying to adjust the "Post processing quality" setting in the graphics menu to see if that helps, or to just turn the lens magnification off (set it to zero)

Thanks, i know this, but as i said its still kinda lags with everything above 0, feels like image in scope lacks of fps when you move it around fast. Still i would like to have this mod on our server, its pretty fun to play

yes, you can tweak the "lens magnification" in the options menu :)
While in-game. open the menu, go into the options, then sUDE, then sGunplay, and finally you can change the "lens mangification effect" with a slider

it looks fine when in zoom you move camera around slowly but when you do sharp turns the picture tears a lot, I must note that this effect mainly appears when you are standing at full height and is felt much less when you are ducking

1) the freelook only works when aiming with ironsights and non-magnifying optics (e.g. reflex, kobra) and by extension, the same applies to "weapon inspection".
To use the "weapon inspection", hold togheter the freelook button (default is Left Alt) and the keybinding you assigned to the "weapon inspection"
You should now be able to move the camera around with the mouse :)

2) You can "constrain" the settings for all players by editing the sGunplay_constraints.json file, which you can find in your server profile folder. If you're unfamiliar with editing json files, you can use this online tool [simonvic.github.io] I've made

Unfortunately it's not possible yet to set "server's default", but I may consider it in the future :)

i got 2 questions...

1) how can u make this freelook to work?
i defined a key but nothing changes if i press it.
only works it, if the weapon is high ready or if you ads ?
i tried to use it with vanilla, tac_flava and Snafu (both with your extension mods for that)
nothing worked for me.

2) is it possible to configure what settings the clients will get on the first join?
i thought, it would be nice to preconfigure it and id they dont want it, they can disable.

this is very weird and it's the first time I see this issue, which makes me believe that it might be an incompatibility with some other mod.

Could you try to load as few mods as possible (other than sGunplay) and see if the issue persists?
In the meanwhile, I'll see if I can reproduce the issue

Here. If you want to shoot further enemies, it's getting impossible, because for some reason the bullet makes a giant high curve like the zeroing is on 300 or 400. Even when the zeroing is set up to 100m. Same with the Shotgun.

I was using iron sight from sawed off shotgun and vanilla ACOG with Vanilla Crossbow. I will make a Video asap. I was shooting but the bullets only hit the target a bit above. I was talking about Optics, Dynamic Crosshair and normal Crosshair is both off. I was using your mod before 1.25 too. I think in 1.22 or 1.23. Not sure anymore but here was everything normal or better said: I didn't noticed it.

and as a note, keep in mind that with sGunplay the bullets come out straight out of the weapon barrels and not from the center of the screen like in DayZ vanilla.
So don't rely on the vanilla HUD crosshair when you're hipfiring, because it may mislead you since the weapon is not always centered at the center of the screen :)

A couple of questions so I can try to reproduce the issue:
- what weapon and optic were you using? Were they modded one?
- what was the zeroing?
- with "sight", are you referring to the weapon sight or the HUD crosshair?
- if you're referring to the HUD, do you mean vanilla crosshair or sGunplay's dynamic crosshair?
- have you started noticing this issue after latest DayZ update or is this the first time you use sGunplay?

Idk why but for some reason the weapons don't shoot straight anymore. The bullets hits a bit above the sights.
