This mod produces weird glitchy textures over some of the Alpha Biomes like this: https://imgur.com/a/9ngXsp4 Removing this mod fixed the issue, but it might be a mod conflict in general with something (current suspects: More Visible Pollution and Visible Map Mutators)

Hey, I noticed the <materialSizeMultiplier> tag in your Alpha Biomes patch makes the mountains render oversized compared to the hexes. If that was an artistic choice then no worries at all — but since your other world map beautification mod (more vanilla biomes patch) render mountains and foliage at the normal size, I thought it might be an oversight.

loaded up my game today and also had errors about not being able to load the mountain and snowy mountain textures for the some of the biomes, with pink squares on the map. i am not running more vanilla biomes but i am using WMBP Continued and ReGrowth. Nuking the DDS files also fixed it for me, so thanks for posting that @dawud.weaver

weirdly everything was working fine when i played yesterday, didnt add or remove anything and none of my mods have updated. not sure why it stopped working today, but glad there was a solution. love this mod!

I pinged Zaljerem about it, and their solution of nuking the dds files worked for me on the version I have locally in RimSort; maybe they just need to be recompiled? Or whatever one does to make them, I'm not a mod maker >.<

No rush, just dropping a list of problems when I tried to yolo this and more vanilla biomes. I'm using base world map beautification if that makes a difference. Forgot just how much better these look than the base case.

Ocular forest, mycotic jungle, gelatinous superorganism, gallatross graveyard, makes mountains/hills of any size into missing textures.

Pyroclastic conflagration, forsaken crags, mechanoid intrustion, coastal dunes, and stormy savanna are fine (probably missed several, it's harder to spot going right).

Feralist infested jungles are fine-ish, though the jungle isn't displaying alongside the mountains (unsure if intended behavior).

Alpine meadow is only fine if there's a path, strangely.

These mods no longer require that as a dependency and are now standalone and work with Re-Growth. If you are using RimPy, that is the issue with RimPy detecting a pre cached instance of my mods requirements.

Yeah there is nothing I can change on my end. The dependency inside the file for them has already been removed. :(

I see people have replied saying that already, but maybe you could change it on your end?

@Lurmey to elaborate on exactly what to delete, open the db.json and ctrl+f for "World map beautification project" this entry below is just an example entry, not the one to delete since I already deleted mine:

example, entry, delete the one with the right name above, youre deleting every line from the number in quotes, to the }, :

Re: The Rimpy issue, check out the page for Death Rattle Biosculpter Patch as they have the same issue and someone there described how to fix it. Basically it's the Rimpy Mod Manager Database being out of date so to fix it you go to C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappsworkshopcontent2941001847679158db, open db.json, search for the id of the old mod (World map beautification project in this case) and delete the entry, being careful not to ruin the syntax of the file.

I switched to regrowth for the more even look. though regrowth has broken ice sheet textures.

Tried loading this with ReGrowth and it does have some issues. World Map wise the only big conflict was on ice sheets causing broken textures. Otherwise seemed to work fairly well.

Overall it seems to be working fine without issue on the world map. Despite the rimpy compat message.

My only feedback would if mountains appears taller or more distinct. As they look flat in comparison to the tree biomes.

yeah RimPy has been a bit of a headache for me for a while, even when removing all traces of WMBP, it STILL insists it needs it and I have no idea why

The only issue Im aware of is RimPy wants to use the other mod when this one is added.

I believe it should be compatible, my mods are standalone
and Re:Growth have incorporated the WMBP into their mod.
If you do still choose to use the continued version of it, I do not see any issues with mine as it will look for Re:Growth, and if it doesnt find it, it will just use its own DLL :D

do let me know if there are any issues though and I will see what I can do

+1 on the comments below, getting this error every time at launch. Seems benign in impact, but it's the only red that my modlist is generating

I'm getting some red errors on startup regarding biomeskit, it looks like it's still referencing the old mode inside the dll, could you check?

My update was pushed out about a month ago. WMBP is incorporated in my mod too. If people do not wish to use ReGrowth but still would like to use my mods, they can, if they use ReGrowth, then it will not (should not) conflict.

WMBP isn't going away, it's part of ReGrowth Core now. Is there going to be an update to this mod to reflect this change in dependency?

FYI, I'm still having some issues with this mod-- Namely:

Error while instantiating a mod of type BiomesKit.HarmonyStarter: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.MissingMethodException: void Verse.Log.Error(string,bool)

and:

[BetterLoading] Exception occurred processing mod finalize events! Details: System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'BiomesKit.ErrorLogs' threw an exception. ---> System.MissingMethodException: void Verse.Log.Warning(string,bool)


I'm assuming this is related to running the mod in conjunction with Re:Growth? But since I can see discussion of a fix already being included, I figured I'd share. Hugs log here:
