If the original author requests it, I will remove this update.

WMBP - Nature's Pretty Sweet

1.5: IF YOU RUN ReGrowth, YOU DON'T NEED THIS MOD. ReGrowth contains the same functionality.

1.6: WMBP and ReGrowth are marked incompatible; use one or the other. Both have the same (almost literally!) WMBP functionality. (Some people have used them together without issue, but let's just call that "unsupported")

ReGrowth supports all of the WMBP addons as of the latest update.
Addons that specify ReGrowth 2 only are not compatible with WMBP at this time.

As of version 1.0.8, WMBP should render correctly on all layers. Modded layers:
<!-- For any modders creating Planet Layers, you will need to either MayRequire or patch the below into your worldDrawLayers --> <Operation Class="PatchOperationAdd"> <xpath>Defs/PlanetLayerDef[defName="YOURLAYERDEFHERE"]/worldDrawLayers</xpath> <value> <li>BiomesKit.WorldDrawLayer_Beautification</li> </value> </Operation>

Original mod notes (1.4):

Beautify your game like never before with World Map Beautification Project, a cosmetic upgrade for the world map that provides you with forests and hills.

Features:
* Forest graphics for your tiles, in up to 6 variants per biome! Note: Some biomes may not make use of the full range of variants.
* New hill graphics!
* Cosmetic canyons! Rivers will now carve through mountains, forming nice-looking canyons. Note: This is entirely cosmetic: Affected tile are still hilly/mountanous.

Credits to:
m0nka for the hill and mountain sprites

Hey Zal, my map is no longer changed by this mod. It worked when I first installed, then I took a break for a few months, got a new rig, and reinstalled everything. Now that I think about it, I don't think WMBP has worked for me since that reinstall. (I'm still on 1.5).

I'm not very good at interpreting game logs, but I only have 2 red errors on startup and neither involve this mod. I don't have any other mods that change the overmap, aside from things like MFI which allows new bases to spawn (although I don't think that counts as overmap modification). I've never used regrowth

Here is my full modlist: https://traff.co/e60z1hEj

Let me know if you have any ideas, or need more information. And thank you for caretaking this mod so attentively! WMBP is a godsend for people like me who want a non-barf map without ReGrowth's performance impact.

Is this just an issue for me? All of the tree textures on the map are super tiny. I also noticed that the mountains arent continuous like @The Blind One said.
beatiful mod :D:steamthumbsup:

Hey, thanks for the report! Just pushed an update to resolve that.

The mod give me warning messages: "Finalizing mesh which is already finalized. Did you forget to call Clear()?"
https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/5230cedeea99262bf35470cfc29adaf1

The warning happens the first time I open the world map. Disabling the mod remove the warning.

For now, I've added a mod option to enable/disable, and a toggle on the World Map screen to enable/disable.

I'll look to adding some logic to prevent it / mod setting to disable it for the moment.

Currently the WorldDrawLayers do not take other layers' offets into account correctly, it's been reported to the devs. I will try to fix when possible.

This MOD Art is truly wonderful, but when I use ”Layered Atmosphere and Orbit” to display the Luna, the visuals become distorted. Could you please implement compatibility?

Apologies if this was already mentioned but but will we get seamless mountains back at some point?
