Its a good mod that I'm enjoying. Please note the discussions for the bug fix as well as a rundown on some of the things that are OP or could be better. At this stage there are probably better class overhauls that one could use.

2024 calling in, regarding that “Restorative Mist” bug (crash to desktop). It still exists, was never fixed.

I’ve written a little tutorial how to fix it even in an ongoing campaign, see “Specialist 'restoration' ability is bugged” in the discussions here.

I've tried using only this mod after deleting the config folder in My Games, deleting the mod and redownloading it, and booting up the game first with no mods and then with the mod. The repeated skills are still there completely unchanged.

@kingvladrake191, you have another mod or mods that have the same skills, so you have a mod conflict, find the mod and delete it that should solve the problem.

Anyone know how to fix some skills being in the tree twice? For example Deep Cover is in the Squaddie slot and still in the Colonel slot, and in Sharpshooter both Long Watch and Lightning Hands are Squaddie skills and repeated in Lieutenant and Captain respectively.

is it possible to disable the new Brigadier rank?

I really like the idea of the new skill lines.
At the same time I "hate" the extra rank. Mainly because only those 4 classes in my setup would have it. But neither the WotC fraction classes and the Spark nor most classes from other mods woult have it.

I found the problem, a troublesome mod that I thought was deleted was causing a conflict, all tree's showing up now.

I play with 300 mods installed and it works fine for me. Never came across a mod that interfered with this one...

@Marcus Aquila So there's another mod conflicting, because the new abilities do not appear in the promotion screen with my full list of mods enabled. No idea which one.

There's an issue where some skills are repeated in the trees. Slash for example is repeated in the Sergeant tier, and Bladestorm is in both Corporal and Colonel.

Slink Master is what the Ranger class should have had from the start, was always stupid that the stealth-based class could be detected at the same range as the others.

@Bica i saw the ranger animations.

A pretty nice mod with this is Rusty Psionic letting start with Psiops class from the start + new Psi abilitys

I've been using this mod, but the abilities aren't showing up on promotion

My soldiers have access to brigadier abilities, but only "part" of the third tree. I got "marksman" "support" trees, but they only have 1 or 2 perks in them - and those perks are all randomized and not part of the tree.

Is there another mod that's screwing that up? Has anyone else gotten this issue?

@Veehementia Regarding grenadiers not using PCS, this is the fix:
1) Go to the <location of your game mods location> ie: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1707653796\Config
2)Open the file XComClassData.ini
3) Go to the line 65 and add a ")" after AbilityName="F_Imposition". It should look like this:
+SoldierRanks=(AbilitySlots=( (AbilityType=(AbilityName="LaunchGrenade", ApplyToWeaponSlot=eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon)), (AbilityType=(AbilityName="F_Imposition"))),
Note that there are 3 and not 2 parenthesis after that
That should work for new grenadiers, you could try editing the values "StatType=eStat_CombatSims,StatAmount=1" for when existing grenadiers rank up. But i didn't test that (the first solution works :) )

@Ketaros The fix is just adding a ")" that was missing in case you want to update it.

I think anyone putting a mod out deserves a little credit, so by all means give it a go. Just be warned that not every ability will work.

Hi there the restoration ability seems to be bugged. When I try to use it I get CTD. I know somebody posted about it in the discussions section. I looked for the line of text he was talking about and it seems ok to me. I'm using mods that add crazy tough enemies and I really need this ability to progress.

Sniper Elite hasn't been working for some time.
As Ketaros is using Favid's Extended Perk Pack, and Favid borrowed Sniper Elite from Musashi I'm not sure who or how it'll be fixed. Favid is tied up with RL work so I suppose Ketaros could use XMod Base 2, which was used to create these abilities, so there's hope it could be fixed, maybe.

@Ketaros Grenadiers are unable to equip PCS. Other classes are not affected, however.

After the recruits upgrade the grenadier, the battle chip can not be used, and other occupations can be used normally.

Thanks for the update Ktaros- II tried wiping config of xcom2 and xcom2 wotc then refreshed your mods (+ dependents) but I still find that the dash (ranger jab short action thing) still always seems to miss (5/5 times- don't think it is just rng) and also the resupply trait still causes a total crash. Would I need to restart a new cmapaign for these to work properly (current campaign was new with your two week old mods in place) Are all abilities supposed to be working now? Still having a blast with it- nearly on plasma now- waiting eagerly to see what a brig heavy will bring into the mix. I like abilities that go well togther like run and gun and dedication. I think that compensation just is a much better version of DFA. I love the squadsight penalty removal at brig rank.

also would like to add: the modd isn't broken in anyway and alot of the abilities are still very much usable. Just don't use restoration as that is broken in Favid's pack for some reason.

@Ketaros - woo hoo! will test it tomorrow.

@Identitools - alot has happened over the last year. Try the game with increased pod size by force level, yellow alert gameplay, yellow alert spawning, LEB's late game enemies, proving ground overhaul, additional mission types (!!!) and a better advent. trust me when you think you're safe in September with your ghost suits and plasma weapons and then you run into your first riftkeeper...
