Always Bleed Out

Description
This mod guarantees that when a soldiers health reaches zero they will always begin to bleed out rather than dying immediately, allowing you the chance to stabilize and save them. *Note that death by Chryssalid poison doesn't allow bleeding out, and this mod doesn't change that.

The Stay With Me upgrade in the vanilla game increases the chance to bleed out, this has been replaced with an increase in turns to bleed out.

Number of turns to bleed out can be edited in the XComAlwaysBleedOut.ini config file.
The config file can be found under your Steam directory, here:

"Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/268500/622702432/Config/XComAlwaysBleedOut.ini"

BLEEDINGOUT_BASE_TURNS=4
BLEEDINGOUT_BONUS_TURNS=2

Base turns is the standard bleedout turns, and bonus is how many additional turns it will take to bleed out with the Stay With Me upgrade.

COMPATIBILITY: This mod overrides the following classes, and is not compatible with other mods that do so:

X2Effect_BleedingOut

COMPATIBILITY FAQ: If either mod overrides a class the other mod overrides or listens for, they will not be compatible. Both mods must use listeners to be compatible. If their functionality directly conflicts (both interact with the same lines of code) they will not be compatible even if they both use listeners.

Coming back to XCOM 2 after playing Chimera Squad, I'd gotten into the groove of having a consistent pool of "heroes" that never die, only get knocked out of future missions for more or less time. This mod provides that gameplay by making soldiers practically unkillable - or at least, their deaths very avoidable - but still punishing you for letting them get so badly wounded. I recommend combining this mod with this one to provide more interaction to the bleedout mechanic and force another layer of tactical choice. Highly recommended (if you don't mind making the game less punishing). Thumbs up!

Did not work for me playing WOTC with some Long War standalone mods.

How I fixed it:
In the "Steam\steampps\common\XCOM2/XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame" folder
Open DefaultGameCore.ini with Notepad
Set BLEEDOUT_BASE=0
Set BLEEDOUT_ROLL=0
Save

Worked for me so far.
There is another DefaultGameCore.ini that is in the XCom2Game folder which I imagine will work the same if you are not plating WOTC.

I'm not. I had difficulties with it but I'll try it again.

I know it's been a while, and you probably stopped playing Xcom 2, but do you think you could fix the mod ? I think the last update where they removed their awful 2k launcher may have broken the mod, and this mod is really fun to use, since I care a lot about certain soldiers.
