Shadowrun: Hong Kong (Slap Patch)

Description
This mod allows you to play the official Hong Kong campaign with the 'Slap Patch' unofficial bugfix mod applied. Importing an existing character is also now enabled.

REQUIREMENTS:
This mod requires the 'SR:HK Slap Patch', which can be found here:
http://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=567429614.

You can find all the details about this mod and what it does on that page.

COMPATIBILITY:
Currently based on SR:HK v3.0.7.
Tested on the Windows GOG (v3.0.7) and Steam (v3.0.8) versions of the game, but should work fine with other installs (such as Humble Store, Mac OS or Linux) too.

USAGE:
To play the official campaign with the 'SR:HK Slap Patch' fixes, simply start a new game using the included 'Hong Kong (Slap Patch)' story.

ADVANCED USERS:
If you wish, you can rename the files from .cpz to .zip and unpack them, but should be no need to do so unless you're a curious modder wanting to check out the changes made directly.

WORKSHOP NOTE:
This mod will be first and foremost hosted, updated and discussed on the Nexus:
http://www.nexusmods.com/shadowrunhongkong/mods/10
I will try to keep this Workshop version up to date too for those who use the Steam version of Shadowrun: Hong Kong, however due to the limitations of Steam Workshop, this mod will typically require multiple downloads/subscriptions if using this platform rather than manually installing from Nexus.

"Prosperity Tower stops loading at about 40% and then the loading screen just... stays"

Common problem. Check HD graphics.

Everything was going great until I got to the near-end of the game. Prosperity Tower stops loading at about 40% and then the loading screen just... stays.

Guess that's the end of that particular adventure.

NOT ONLY THAT TALK TO THE MERCHANT IN-GAME AND ALL YOU GET IS A BLACK SCREEN

this mod is broken. and I'm not talking about the inability to transfer your character to the EE module.
no. the problem is that any imported chracters into THIS mod can't trade or dive into the matrix because it'll crash the mod.
until it's fixed or reworked, it's just not playable, very sad

Hi, I've read a number of posts, but haven't found any info on it, but can someone tell me if there is anything I can do to the final save file to get the slap patch save to import into the Bonus campaign?

its a good mod and i agree a note would be helpful. :P I had to replay the entire game just to do the extra content because most modded games are un portable to extra content

Banjo--I came across as unfairly ornery and for that I apologize. I appreciate your work in rendering this game stable and playable--all the moreso given that HBS are content to leave it broken.

That said, expecting someone to dive into comments posted on the mod is unreasonable, imo. All i'm asking for is a note in the description stating that it's not compatible with the epilogue play. On checking, I assumed (wrongly) that the version mentioned as being on Steam was current. A simple disclaimer would have prevented a wasted play-through.

I've still not played it, since that update broke my Steam copy of the game. By the time I found a fix (emable/disable Steam saves, IIRC) I was rather bitter about HBS' flat refusal to fix broken/missing content (such as all the missing music, in favour of "developer commentary"?!). Then I got sick, so updating my mods to it had to take a backseat anyway. :(

Im playing shadows right now and the disapointment is so thick I could walk on it

Udak, read my other mod comments to find out why I've not updated this (for free, doing what HBS should do themselves). *sigh*

As for "NOT IN THE DESCRIPTION", all my mods were made *before* the Shadows DLC was released (which incidentally broke my game on Steam and made me unable to play or mod it for six months until I stumbled across a random fix, again, see my posts back then on that).

I'd agree not to use this if you want to carry over a game to Shadows, but if you don't plan to there should be no problem. No need to rage and be nasty.
