Description
This mod focuses on Species Traits, adding more content and flavor to the inhabitants of your Empires. In addition to Species Traits, I'm planning to add Leader Traits, Origins, Ascension Perks and Name Lists in the theme of each of the Species Pack DLCs.

Contents
Currently, 40+ Traits added by this mod, each falls into a category which determines what phenotypes the trait is available to. A comprehensive overview is in the works, but in the meantime you can find some examples in the images above.

I'm aiming for high-quality, vanilla-like effects and localization that are both mechanically interesting and offer roleplayability. Game balance is often an afterthought. However, if you feel a trait breaks balance or doesn't live up to its thematic potential, please leave feedback. Always looking to improve!

Compatibility and Patches
Doesn't overwrite any vanilla files - should be compatible with most if not all other mods.

@[GFA] Nayaomos Apparently any Federation Modifier may cause ctd when linked to from a trait, Diplomat has been changed to no longer contain any. Thanks for pointing this out!

@Red Skull You're right, should be fixed now.

@mute thanks for update - The Urbanist trait says "Clerks" which were removed in 4.0?

I can Look into it tomorrow evening, but I'd require some more info. I'm assuming you're referring to the concept in the species trait description, correct?

Does this happen only for the diplomatic trait or also the other three (Cunning, Cowards, Insidious)? Could you send me your error.log, that would be helpful

not sure if its an incompatibility issue or something like that but hovering over the Diplomat tooltip from diplomatic crashes my game ?

4.1.* Update! Also added a few more generic Traits: Militant, Peaceful, Patriotic, Rebellious

I'm not sure about Rooting since Rooted is a vanilla trait now, and I want to avoid too much thematic overlap. I'm considering to bring back the Extended Plantoid origins (Mycorrhiza/Stranglevine) or their root network mechanics in some form, however I haven't quite worked that out yet. But most likely there will be a civic instead of origins + traits.

In any case, I am strapped for time and my current plans are to release an update for necroids in october first.
So TL;DR no promises, maybe some day, but definetly not any time soon
