Forgotten Realms - Total Conversion Mod

Description
The Forgotten Realms - Total Conversion Mod

Built with love for the community to be the most complete depiction of the Forgotten Realms fantasy setting available on PC. Designed for the Single Player experience, and only to be played on the Forgotten Realms Underdark map, also here on Steam. There are now 38 playable factions, more than 1,000 new units, items, spells, events, magic sites, and new mechanics.

The era is fluid, region-to-region, but primarily centered on the events of 1350-1375 DR, post-Time of Troubles, and pre-Spellplague.

This version introduces 3 new factions:

Tel'Quessir - The Elves of Faerûn
The Dalelands - In the Shadow of Myth Drannor
The Scoured Legion - Masters of Hellgate Keep

The Underdark is represented in 3 separate planes and can be traversed through more than 100 gateways. Use the number keys 1 through 4 to ease navigating the interface. Nearly 800 provinces in total should keep you busy.

New games should include all possible nations (hold the 'n' key to fill the list with 'Random' and it wont duplicate). Set world options as desired AND enter the Victory Conditions tab. Reduce all the level 1 and 2 vanilla random thrones to 0 and select your Victory Point count. There are now 120 potential custom throne points. 15-20 is a good number, but enjoy however you like.

And as always - share your adventures!

BTW, in the mod look for the name "Amodeus". Little typo there :-)

Very cool, I know there is a notepadd++ language file floating around on the Discord forum but never figured out how to activate/install it. Appreciate the hot tip.

Look in the Language-->User Defined Language menu. Super easy to make all dominions quotes bold black, and your comments a customer color like blue/magenta. Really lights everything up really nice.

Appreciate the double quote finds. Not sure I could have done this mod without Notepad++, that's for sure. These double quote errors are pretty forgiving overall, so don't think they're breaking anything major, but I definitely appreciate you finding them! Fixed now for the upcoming 0.94 update.

Found a lack of close quite, here:

#descr "Gelatinous Cubes are slow, creeping monstrosities that envelope and consume their prey. Powerful casters will summon additional cubes with each casting.

p.s., this problem is in 0.93 and 0.92, did not check others

This mod has formatting errors. You can find the errors on LINE# 18762 and LINE# 52033:

All who defiled the peaceful and natural repose of teh dead were his enemies, but most especially Set."

The hilt of this scimitar was black adamantite and the blade was made of silver with a diamond edge. A +3 scimitar."

In each case, the error is the last double quote (") on the line

To easily find problems like this, I suggest using an editor with custom language definitions, like notepad++. I saw it because I have defined a Dominions language for .map and .dm files. This made it obvious where some strings weren't properly closed, and therefore (I think) zapping sections of the mod. Note that you don't have to define much of a language to get a lot of benefit... I only use strings and comments special formatting, and don't do anything fancy.

Anyway, the quote errors may also explain the bugs you were struggling with near the end of the file.

Costs on the gods are still very much a work-in-progress. Take advantage of that Mielikki cost while you can! I believe it was addressed in the interim between the current version and the upcoming update. Still hoping for a release before xmas, but no promises.

I'm just starting out, but there seems to be a weird discrepancy between Silvanus and Mielikki for The Dalelands... Silvanus costs 280 points to Mielikki's 100, and Mielikki is better in almost every way except tankiness (better healer, +1 grown scale limit, new paths cost 20 instead of 60). Am I missing something?

Is it intended that practically all orc's basic units are archers? Not that I'm complaining - they are pretty good in what they do and it's called Kingdom of MANY ARROWS for a reason - but it's just a tad bit funny to me, that it made orcish hordes more shooty than elves. So much so in fact, that there are barely any reason to go in melee with until enemy come to you himself.
