Better Resources

Description
Better Resources mod for Space Engineers

This mod adds a lot of new resources, ore types include: Copper, Bauxite, Lithium, Oil Shale, Titanium, Nitre, Sulfur, Wolframite and Galena. Some of the ores will give multiple ingot types when refined, for example Bauxite will give Aluminium and Gallium, Oil Shale will give Crude Oil and Sulfur, Wolframite will give Tungsten and Tin. All default "Space Engineers" planets, asteroids and the moon will spawn the new resources.

• Most ammunition will require Brass, Gunpowder and Lead, Sabots will require Tungsten and warheads will require Plutonium.

• Lithium and Lithium-Sulfur batteries will output far more power and have a larger storage capacity, but will have no initial charge (cells will not grind to scrap)

• Petrol can be made from crude oil to power petrol engines, which are far more efficient than hydrogen engines.

• Elite tools and weapons will often require Brass, Aluminium, Plastic, Rubber, Titanium and Optics resulting in better performance and less weight.

• LED lights can be made from Plastic and Gallium, which are much brighter and more power efficient.

• GaAs Solar Panels can be made from Aluminium and Gallium offering better energy harvesting performance.

• Titanium components and high-torque motors make pistons with longer ranges possible (only x2 implemented at the moment).

• Composite Plate armour made from depleted Uranium and Titanium offers strength and durability, nuclear waste from reactors will need to be processed for depleted Uranium.

• Upgrade modules will need advanced electronics to build.

• Medkits and Powerkits can be made in the laboratory equipment block.

Please see below for a full breakdown of the resources

Some of the weapons use the Scope framework, which can be found here - https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2754014019

Assembler flaw - You want to produce gunpowder and have all the ingredients necessary, but are getting the "Missing Items" error. This is because SE doesn't move the Sulfur into the assemblers main inventory, so you'll need to manually do this, or use an inventory manager to automate the process for you.

If you're unable to see the assemblers sub-category (gear icon) because you have a custom assembler, copy BlueprintClasses.sbc from [steam workshop folder]\2841960221\Alternative to [steam workshop folder]\2841960221\Data

Gold and Titanium are missing on Pertam. Please do anything.

@Myrin Zyw'n Thanks for reporting the issue, the standalone 2x2 wheels have been updated and will be included in the next update.
Myrin Zyw'n 15 Jan @ 3:05am
It looks like the vanilla 2x2 wheels haven't had their components adjusted?

I think - if you were to move some or most of the sciencish blueprints to the labratory it would largely solve most of the issues ... i think,
As its all the intermediate components are missing and the end products are there in the mod assembler in IO. (this would also make an underused addition much more useful in a logical way overall)
.....that and the gold/copper wire - which is the only two items above labeled 'consumable'(?)
Like...
i can build the advanced motors, but not the neodynium magnets for them..
and a 10 ghz cpu - but im missing sub components there too...

@the last TRUE gamer Sorry, but this wouldn't be possible as they're both effecting similar area's of the game, BR is just a less complex version of IO but usually works a bit better with other mods. If you like the extra production machinery and aren't having issues with other mods, IO is the better choice and is superior to BR.

Is there any chance that you could create a compatch that would allow BR to load before industrial overhaul then fix the things that IO overwrites and removes, or a different version of BR that is specifically for industrial overhaul?
Currently you can load BR before IO and get a working game you can play through without the BR icon touches, and all of the science basically gone, as well as the assembler entries all gone.
If you load BR after IO you end up with alot of IO that fails to work properly like all of the production machines in IO
Theres also a problem for items, like copper and gold wire - two items that items fight over one iteration or the other being missing no matter the load order, its just easier to deal with if RB loads first
I dunno.... theres alot of little things like the above that i feel could be fixed and make these 2 mods work together and be enjoyable...
What I do know this would be a great combination if they worked together properly.

@all Sorry for not replying to your questions, I have been away for Christmas. If you are still having issues could you please post again. Happy New Year!

an industrial overhaul compatch would be amazing..

@Hawkes 14 Was solved for me by manually dragging the magnet to the upper slot of the assembler, guessing it cant use it for crafting in the lower slot and won't drag it to the upper slot by it self since it is already in its inventory

Having the same issue as @Hawkes 14
