Yeah If I want to build a colony, spawnable might be the only option till then.
The next update is introducing a proper furniture store with more options but for now you'd be best turning off tile protection from those maps when you've completed them and just destroying them to pick them up in item form.
The other solution is to grab the GIC Spawnable Items Pack patch and look for the blocks in there, but you'd risk seriously impacting performance due to the unoptimized way SB's engine handles recipes. More recipes per character = higher chance and longer duration of freezing when opening menus.
