The Purple Thunder [Missile Corvette]

Description
The Purple Thunder was developed as a stylish but deadly offensive vessel. It features powerful engines to drive it forward and manouver, and two wings for carrying the arrays of rapid-firing missile launchers that can quickly reduce any ship to space debris.

Just updated: Now with added speed and manouverability! Also, a rotor-based door at the back, and fixed symmetry issues! And a backup control seat!

Deathranger74- I always have trouble balancing aesthetics and maneuverability. Having more thrusters could make it look rather strange, but I will see what I can do anyway :)

its a nice ship, not a horrible concept either, so I decided to put it to the test. Up against one of my warships, it got shredded to a few clearly visible flaws, which I will list, and try and put a solution to help you improve the design.

(1) of all the different sections, the bridge is the most vulnerable. It is easily breached by gunfire and missiles, and as a result the ship is far too easily disabled early in a fight. The best solution I have for you is to add an auxilary control room somewhere deep within your ship, perhaps in one of the maintenace compartments.

(2) The ship is far too slow for it's purpose. A missile corvette requires high speed and maneuverablility in order to function efficiently, and pose any real threat to a large ship. I think you might find it a good idea to add more engines out on the wings to boost thrusting power on all sides, and a few more gyroscopes can't hurt.

issues aside, I did rather enjoy the ship.

Outstanding! Pretty, maneuverable and clear interior. Fine design.
