Battlestar Galactica - Scripted

Description
This mod is a scripted version of the wonderful Battlestar Galactica board game by Fantasy Flight Games. The entire setup process is scripted. The script also adds some additional functionality listed below. The Pegasus, Exodus and Daybreak expansions are all supported, as are all official variants and a number of unofficial variants.

This mod is based on Saul Tigh (Sammygm)'s amazing mod. It includes a high resolution, custom playmat, all assets from the game and its expansions, AI upscaled cards, custom models for many objects, and much improved character sheets, character tokens, and piloting tokens.

While Battlestar Galactica is out of print, Fantasy Flight Games has created many other fantastic board games. My personal favorites include Arkham Horror: The Card Game[www.fantasyflightgames.com] and Star Wars: Rebellion[www.fantasyflightgames.com]. Be sure to support their work if you like this game!

Functionality
  • Automated setup, with a custom UI.
  • Support for the base game, expansions, all endings, all official variants, and a number of unofficial variants.
  • Supports one to seven players, including fully cooperative games, and the unique setup for one and two player games.
  • Automated character selection.
  • Automated loyalty card and title distribution.
  • The Sleeper Agent phase is mostly automated.
  • Automated setup for allies and trauma tokens for the Ionian Nebula ending.
  • A button to view the lines of succession based on the active characters.
  • Easy to use draw buttons on character sheets.
  • Automatic rebuilding of skill card decks.
  • Automatic rebuilding of the Destiny deck.
  • An option to change your character after the game has started.
  • Buttons to add Destiny cards to skill checks, to count the value of each skill card in the skill check by card type, and to shuffle skill check cards back into their decks.
  • Notifications when the Fuel, Food, Morale, Population, Jump Preparation and Pursuit tracks are modified, including the old and new value.
  • Buttons for destroying the Pegasus, Colonial One, and the Resurrection Hub.
  • A button to place and remove the Rebel Basestar.
  • A custom rulebook on a tablet, which automatically changes based on the configuration.
  • Fully supports saving, undoing, and redoing.

Hey Argelius! Glad to hear you like the mod!

There's no way to automatically deal a new ally mid-game - this indeed is a manual process currently.

Amazing mod, looking forward to getting back into this game with some friends who have never played it before. All of this has happened before, and so on.

Also: Is there a way to deal a new Ally mid-game? At the start of the game, the script draws allies, finds their tokens, and places them on the map. Do I have to do all that manually when I draw a new ally mid-game?

@PyroTech03: When hovering over the civilian ship, hold ALT+SHIFT. That will let you peek at the ship (or any other card).

How are we supposed to secretly look at civilian ships? Bringing to hand and flipping still shows it to the table

Honestly, I probably won't be spending time anything soon to port that over. But it's a good suggestion nonetheless!

All good :D

Anyway to add the card tray for skill checks by chance from tachyon? That's like the one thing I like better about that one.

I'd say this one, but I'm a little biased :)!

Is this one or the tachyon edition considered better to use? Looking to setup a game for some friends that never played. I know vanilla rules but wouldn't mind the scripting.

Hey @mr white! All assets in this mod are served from the Steam cloud (i.e. https://steamusercontent-a.akamaihd.net) . None of the content is served on nfoservers.com . We also don't have an asset called nuke.jpg.

Are you perhaps running some kind of VPN or something else that may be intercepting your network traffic and changing these URLs?

I cannot download content from like http://ad.site.nfoservers.com/extra/nuke.jpg
