Naxos Station

Description
The Naxos Station is a size class 13 Space Station.

Conceived as an orbital service station for space traveller, it offers all the necessery accomodation and amenities for a small crew.
And so the station include the following facilities:
-Shopping center
-Hospital
-Residential area
-Large farm
-Craft bay
-Shooting range
-Hangar for 16 SV's
-Platform for a size class 3 CV


Energy

The energy consumption of the station has been fully optimised to ensure a full autonomy from non renewable energy.
The energy production is fully managed by the 16 integrated solar panels on the power station
In addition, different signals were designed to minimize consumption when the station is not being operated.


Storage Capacity

In case you require more storage capacity, the following modification can be apply to the station:
Remove the two container in the craft room to reveal orange blocks behind. Those orange block can be replace by additional container extention as necessary. Beware the addition of container will create an excess of electricity consumption.


Troubleshooting

In the case the BP appears in red. It has been identified that this issue is related to the solar pannel. Remove one of the 16 should allow you to spawn the station on a server.



In case of issue with the shooting range, be aware that the system may react differently depending on the lags on a server.

Just spawned this using "Doc's" modified version and ill say the same here as I did on his post : I've just built this in game, I must admit when i 1st subbed to it, I wasn't overly keen on its look, but wanted something different to use. My god how looks can be deceiving. This has instantly become my number 1 Space station. Its amazing. its like the "Tardis" so much inside that you don't expect from seeing it. again Amazing love it :)

Hello Hlnar,

Yup, I read it. I added the extensions of the initial 2 up to 320k and added 2 more cargo controllers by gutting the middle section of the workroom for 2 additional cargo systems with volume of 200k. I might add additional cargo controllers later.

This wasn't my first time deploying stations so deployment was fairly straightforward. That being said the back solar that are reversed to face the sun through the structure were not receiving sunlight, so I popped them off and doubled up on the solars facing the sun on the other side. I went from ~2.43kPU to 4.86 kPU (15 panels total.) You can, without a power penalty, layer 2 solars together facing the sun.

I haven’t gotten around to adding modular turrets yet but it will get there. I don’t like having to retract turrets to land things tbh.

It's a good looking station but like I said, it needs some work out of the box.

I had to juggle CPU limitation and power consumption, and besides, I was not playing on a weight-enabled server. So, I left people free and allowed to add containers extensions.

Solar panel, did u spent a time to look at pictures I made?
Backside solar panels works fine and, as I tested 5min earlier, deliver the EXACT same amount of energy. Check the orientation.

Turrets, all turrets are retractable, close those you dont need.
I built this station with my own needs. I played on a size class 10 restricted server, which corresponds to the station wihtout any light. I took time to fix it and had to make concessions.

I picked this up and built it. From what I can see the station itself isn’t bad looking but there are a lot of issues out of the box that will require time to fix.

Cargo is bad. 8k volume cargo systems is ludicrously small for a base of any size. Cargo boxes of 16k volume for furnaces is enough for 2 and a half stacks of ore, that’s like nothing.

Backside solar panels are not catching sun, basically running at half the solar capacity.

Turret placement on the CV parking is really irritating. I’m fine with guns but if they are taking that much space you might as well make modular defense towers so that the CVs can park without issue.
