More East African Clothing Variety (EPE Version)

Descrizione
Compatible with 1.18.x

What Does This Mod Do?

This is the EPE version of the mod – please see the top of this description for a link to the vanilla version.

For load order, load this AFTER EPE. If you are using RICE+EPE compatch, put this AFTER the compatch too.

This mini-mod lets some East African cultures have a greater variety of clothes to better reflect their historical situation and cultural influences (at least until we get new East African clothes in a DLC or free patch). Abbasid Clothes and Roads to Power DLCs aren’t required, but recommended. If you don’t have those DLCs, you won’t get some of the new clothes assigned to these cultures.

The specific changes are:

Give Ethiopians and Nubians access to Byzantine and Abbasid clothes
Give Welayta and Daju access to African clothes
Give Beja access to Middle Eastern clothes

Compatibility

This mod is compatible with most mods that do not modify the common/culture/cultures/00_east_african.txt file.

It should thus be compatible with mods like VIET, RICE, CFP, and EPE.

If other mods modify this file, you will have to place this mod below them in load order for this mod’s changes to take precedence. However, be warned that this could override any other changes those mods make and thus cause compatibility issues.

@Ettie102 Thanks for heads up!

@cybrxkhan Thank you for the advice. I discovered that it was a load order issue, and that it was because I had put the A More Special World EPE com-patch below this, the issue has been fixed. Keep up the good work with RICE and VIET!

@Ettie102 I can't reproduce the issue, it works fine for me. Have you tried unsubscribing to the mods, waiting for them to uninstall, and resubscribing to see if that (re)installs them correctly, and trying that a few times?

Doesn't seem to be working after your latest RICE update and the compatch

@andyvee I'm just reusing existing assets and assigning them to the cultures, not creating any new ones. Ones from other mods may be out of date (there's been a lot of changes to how the 3D art code works behind the scenes) and would require me to also do work maintaining them if there are changes to how the assets work, which is difficult as 3D art is beyond my capabilities lol

I loved your mod, since it's specific to Africa, can I make a request? Is it possible for you to add clothes for Egyptians as well? Especially focusing on the era of the Pharaohs?

I once found a religion mod that did this, I thought it was incredible to be able to do a gameplay in Egypt, with the goal of reliving the era of the Pharaohs and even having clothes to wear, but the variety of clothes is very small and nowadays the mod is not compatible with others.

Mod has been updated to 1.18.

@Ettie102 Thanks for the heads up! I was aware EPE updated but forgot about this since I've been a bit busy IRL and my modding focus has been on RICE proper. Anyhow this mod does need an update to its code, which I've just uploaded, so hopefully that works.

EPE has been updated for 1.18.X, any plans to update it soon, or should it still be compatible?

@zabuel Have you tried running this with only EPE and no other mods, with this one below EPE in load order, to make sure there's no mod conflict?

doesn't work for me '-'
