Early Access Review
"By trolls, for trolls. 7/10. Potential for 10/10." - My Own Rating.

I'm not able to recommend the game even though I have lots of fun playing it, because it is too troll/grief player friendly and I don't know many trolls or people who, like me, don't give a ♥♥♥♥ if a troll takes less than a minute to kill your 3h tame, or less than ten minutes to level your hundred hour effort base and kill over a hundred 20min-4h each tamed dinos.

Imagine counter strike, but you are born as a baby, has to live, go to school, join the police force or the military, excel and be chosen for ct force and save your own salary money to buy your own weapons. Of course, the terrorists may strike at any point since the day you're born and that's your problem. Deal with it. Disclaimer: you do get to keep your experience though... so you'd respawn as an adult with zero money or weapons for the next round when the terrorists win, but no more baby phase.. just gotta work your way to knife, then gun and so on.

Very entertaining. Fun to play. But extremely troll prone. It is created by trolls and grief players for trolls and grief players. It is, by design, troll friendly. Still fun, but you will be trolled and waste hundreds or thousands of hours. Yes, if you play less than a hundred hours, you can't achieve anything other than trolling. If you want to do something in less than a hundred hours, try the money machine that also has better servers with less lag with a similar name by the same studio.

There are very few things you can possibly do that will take less than an hour real life time and would take more than five minutes for a troll to undo. Most likely, it will be hundreds of hours wasted in a few minutes. That's assuming you're working in team. If you're soloing you can make it ten times more effort and half the time to destroy. At least for PVP, that is.

As for PVE, most servers I tried are owned by douches who claimed a ridiculously large area which has virtually zero upkeep. So you'll depend on finding a non-douche that only claimed to keep douches from claiming and are willing to demolish some of their pathetic pillars to let you build something. It does look prety bad... the world filled with semi-randomly distributed pillars. Also, it's boring af after a while. Same for solo.

Some private servers have multipliers to make things take less time, which also includes the time to get explosives to wipe out everything you have. At least it's less time wasted.

Their ruleset is also very troll/grief player/metaplayer friendly allowing things that are expected to be forbidden, such as impersonating. As the support team said when I reported the player who copied even my steam user name to impersonate me on chat: "We don't currently have any policies against people using impersonation as an espionage or subterfuge tactic". So... you can work on stuff, have someone clone your name, start a war and hop to the next server to do it to someone else and leave you busy fixing it. Everything, including the logs will say you did it and there is no way to prove your innocence.

Anyways, fun game if you don't care. Thrauma generator time burner if you do.

Keep in mind that this game is about killing and destroying, not building and taming things. The only reason you're even allowed to do so is because other players need stuff to kill and destroy and it wouldn't feel as fulfilling for trolls if they were computer generated instead of human time consuming. If you're fine with it, you'll have fun too. There's a reason why the game executable is still called ShooterGame.exe. It's not minecraft, it's not about living/surviving. It's about keeping things and players from living/surviving.

Also, Steam already adds a warning, but... EARLY ACCESS!
Bugs, lag, etc. Still fun, but they're there.
