Implement Workshop support, your built-in alternative is not good enough, especially not to justify needing to go in game to use it

Can't recommend this game in good faith as this developer is known to make good and unique games, honestly they deserve to be sued for providing such good value others can't compete

I realize my playtime will seem way too short to make a judgement based on, I would argue that what I perceive as the big flaw is so core to what I would expect from such a game that the playtime is irrelevant, your view on its relevance in your purchasing decision is of course what matters.

This game is somewhat obviously centered around the oddly satisfying feeling of seeing buildings and other constructions brought to ruin through one individual's demolition of a built structure's most crucial structural features.
Except not, in the first campaign mission I saw the second story of a small house being held up by nothing except for a window frame (not sure if the glass was still there, might've been the crucial egg white of this construction cake).
I'm sorry, but Red Faction: Guerrilla could do that in 2009. I'm guessing the key difference that makes Teardown incapable of this with more than 10 years of improvements in computing is their use of voxel-based physics engine, I'm no expert on the subject but I would guess that this decision is a good one when physics-modeling is what you're building your whole game around.
What I wonder personally is why make this game if the experience becomes more akin to a 2 y/o destroying (disassembling) a lego castle rather than an actual demolition engineer (not sure of the right title?)? The devs have stated modelling structural integrity would halve your FPS, probably true I'm just a gamer so what do I know, but I again feel the need to ask why did the game have to be made? My best guess is the devs didn't know of these issues before they started development, and by the time they realized they had enough fans they (correctly) deduced it didn't matter.

I guess that's the note I'd like to end on; I'm glad that an unique game is being enjoyed by many and the devs probably don't need to bother with my thoughts, but if you think you're going to get an experience similar to videos of real buildings being demolished you should have a look at Red Faction: Guerrilla instead.

As some reviewers have pointed out the environmental commentary got a bit blunt and the story outline isn't by any means groundbreaking.
However, the atmosphere, the between-the-lines metaphors and a tender approach to dialogue brings it together into a game with a clear identity, a story-focused game which takes you through a well laid out rollercoaster; at times a pleasing diorama which can nicely segue into a either anxiety, melancholy or gemütlichkeit.

I have been responsible for BOTH death and brain damage 😜

More seriously this game does stressful & entertaining better than anything I can think of, likely because of its inherent focus on those two themes.
Concentrated time & resource management which is kept interesting through the occasional scripted events, though even when the Career mode left me event-less for a few in-game days I didn't really mind.

112 Operator doesn't really do anything groundbreaking, the concept it and 911 Operator follows is the most novel aspect whereas (to my recollection) none of the game mechanics it utilizes couldn't be found on Newgrounds ca. 2009.

Of course what matters is how those mechanics are put together, and the way they've been put together feels like it's been in the service of balance; the balance between feeling stressed and a sense of accomplishment, balance between the daily grind and a shift where a Boeing 737 MAX tries landing without landing gears or the balance between navigating through a 112 call vs. dispatching units. At no point did I feel I was getting to much of one aspect over another which kept me hooked.
