Saves a lot more money than actually opening a card shop and ripping packs like a goblin.

I used my INT/STR character (lvl 180, NG+), which seems like a nice balanced build strategy for this DLC. There are many weapons that scale with INT, Faith, and Arcane this time, so if you're done just spamming R1 all the time, be sure not to dump everything in STR and DEX to create, in my opinion, a cooler and more versatile play-style.

Also, be sure to explore the first area thoroughly since it contains some of the best new weapons in the game. They're really fun to play around with, and since you can put ashes of war on mostly all of them. If you do have a secondary skill, you might want to infuse them with cold, holy, lighting, etc.

But then again, large weapon + jump goes bang bang, so do whatever you want. I had a blast playing this over the last week. I have some complaints, but they are all based on my personal taste (see bottom).

Overall, this DLC taught me to be way more patient than the base game. Loved the new areas and enemy types. I got more sense of achievement in this DLC than I did for most games I played over the last 2 years.

Personal Complaints:

- This place is a maze, which, since I am terrible with directions, made me wander around for a good while sometimes (sometimes broke my gameplay experience). Then again, if you take good notice of your surroundings and listen to the conversations, reading the items, it's actually a lot clearer what you need to do than it was for me in the base game.

- It seems there is a weird balance to the enemies. Health seems too low on some 'larger' enemies which made no sense sometimes.

- There is a single place in this DLC which I really am not looking forward to going back to. People that played it might know what I mean, but screw that place. (But I also loved it.)

- Some areas really got done dirty by how much content there was in them. The most gorgeous areas you basically just sprint through. I do wish this DLC gave me a little bit more time to spend in some areas. In the end, it really made me long for more. But I suppose that's also more of a nod to the developer.

- Ray tracing in this game is just not the way to go, turn it off.

It's a fun game. Mtx? Never heard of em.

After finishing the game I'll say. It's still pretty good but at around 40 hours it gets really stale. So many weird design choices in locations, quests and NPC's.

6/10 buy on sale.

I open my eyes. Another day in this emptiness that's called space.
Before I can turn around I intercept a message from one of my colleagues. Something about a safe-word, beats me.
I haven't seen them before but there is no time to introduce myself.

Time to collect scrap for the company. I certainly hope we reach our quota this week.
It's either that or... well... there is no other option.

I did it, I never felt so accomplished by finishing a game ever in my life! Man what a great game. Balancing is great. Played it without mods or anything and it took me around 90 hours to finish (with all quests completed).

Can highly recommend this to basically anyone who likes to craft/live a story.

See you guys in a month or so

EDIT: It's two weeks later and I finished the game after a little 100+ hours. I can finally go outside again. Such a masterpiece tho. This is THE example of 'games are art'.

Finally a game where I did not want to skip the cut-scenes. The story is actually really good. Definitely recommend this one if you like action packed open world shooters.

I keep forgetting time while playing this, something I rarely have these days. Thank you devs for creating a (probably) timeless masterpiece!
