died in lethal company and ended up here like wtf man

All jokes aside, The Upturned is quite possibly those most bizarre yet enjoyable experiences I've ever had in a horror game. Everyone says that it blends horror and comedy well, and they're 100% right. Sometimes you might laugh at some of the well-placed punchlines and scenes while other times you'll be left terrified of the game's atmosphere and suspense.

As for gripes of the game, I don't really have too many. The platforming isn't too difficult, the collectibles aren't too difficult to find (so long as you look around thoroughly) and there are some checkpoints throughout the levels if you end up dying to prevent a significant loss in progress. Though, if you want to try your hand at replaying a section, you may have to sit through some dialogue and make dialogue choices that you can't skip, which can be a bit tedious and annoying if you've already seen it. In addition, while you can take furniture to the next level with you in the elevator, it won't save when you close your game and reopen it.

Despite that, though, I heavily recommend The Upturned. There's not really a dull moment with it, whether that be with humor or horror, and definitely worth the (close to) 10 bucks and the five-star Yelp review.
