i'd give it a neutral review if I could; the core mechanics are great and the (true) ending is top tier, but you can really tell that they were forced to release this early. The enemy variety is sorely lacking, the story is muddled and all over the place, the sidequests are lacking and a lot of story/world elements were clearly left out or are underdeveloped. This is especially apparent in the second half of the game, but as a whole you can definitely feel the devs really wanted to do more, but didn't have time; assuming they were rushed to release this early.

Despite all of that, I really enjoyed the game regardless, it's just this constant feeling of wow! This game would be so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good if they put more time into finishing it and tying up all the metaphorical loose ends, and I really hope the devs end up doing what they envisioned with future updates/DLC.

The most recent update is very fun! I like the new class trees a lot, and it adds a lot of variety that didn't exist before.

However.

In typical fatshark greedy fashion, they decided to give a big **** you to the beta players and anybody else who bought the game early on.

For those who aren't aware, there is an in-game cosmetics shop that requires you to buy aquilas using real money in order to purchase cosmetics. This sucks as you might expect, but it's whatever. We've come to expect this of fatshark. You get 2500 if you buy the imperial edition (not even enough to purchase one of the newly released bundles). But.. Currently, if you buy the BASE GAME on gamepass, you get 9300 completely for free, and 14000 if you buy the imperial edition on gamepass. This means that if you decided to buy the game early-on, you're rewarded with nothing but a mediocre in-game helmet and a profile picture frame. Meanwhile, gamepass players get free aquilas magnitudes higher than what you'd get if you bought the imperial edition on release. It's completely unfair to older players, and is why I'm leaving this as a negative review.
