The level design is simply adequate, but the boss fights in this game are SO MUCH FUN. On par with Sekiro's, and possibly the best of any SoulsLike. The second phase of the Nameless Puppet fight gives me a rush I haven't felt since Genichiro and Isshin. I never though I'd say this, but the game blows Elden Ring out of the water in terms of playability and combat. The last comparison might be a bit unfair though, since Elden Ring definitely overstayed its welcome whereas this game did not.

Something immensely satisfying about crawling around in the desert using a box as camouflage to sneak up on soldiers (and animals) to forcibly kidnap them using a parachute that yeets them into the stratosphere.

This is not the point of the game. But I do recommend it.

Good game. Very easy to pour a lot of time into, but deaths often feel very cheap -- unavoidable one-shots, ignition ticks going on longer than intended, more than a single stack of collapse, etc... these are annoyances that definitely feel like balance issues on the part of the developers, but the game is still great. Especially at its pricepoint.

A decent Metroidvania.

This is a good game and it is worth your time -- but unlike Automata, the hours of forced replaying do not add much of value. Routes C and B could have been combined and E could have been shortened considerably. This makes most of the last 8-10 hours of gameplay extremely tedious.

A truly unforgettable experience, and one of the most unique I've had in gaming. Playing this game blind and putting together the pieces on your own will be immensely rewarding.

The best narrative in gaming that I have yet to experience. A masterpiece. The unique and powerful soundtrack is the icing on the cake. (A very sad cake. But delicious.) I haven't stopped thinking about this game since I beat the main endings for the first time almost half a decade ago.

It's not bad.

Arguably the best Metroidvania since Metroid Prime, I can't recommend Hollow Knight highly enough -- especially at its price point. One of the greatest gaming experiences the genre has to offer, backed with gorgeous visuals and a stunning OST by Christopher Larkin. I very strongly recommend that you take the plunge and get lost in Hallownest.

A very fun game to sink hundreds of hours into for the sake of improvement and enjoyment. The game has a serious problem with toxicity in the mid to upper levels of competitive play that Psyonix doesn't seem to care much about, which sucks, but if you can learn to ignore the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is definitely worth the time and the money.
