I bought this game after watching about a half hour of footage and I couldn't have been more surprised by how it developed. I had some aspects of it slightly spoiled for me, which you can gather from most other reviews. And those aspects I actually quite enjoyed, despite the fact I think I may be in the minority opinion here. Its a rare occasion where the story of a game grabs me and truly holds me as firmly as Inscryption has, and personally having been in a massive rut for story based games lately, I think Inscryption is totally worth playing.

Now I will get into some minor spoilers and mechanical aspects I really like.

As I said before I know I'm in the minority with loving the 2nd and 3rd sections of the game, but with the four masters you must beat sort of narrative I couldn't help but be taken back to when I would play the Pokemon TCG videogame nonstop, trying to grind for the best decks possible. And when I learned the game would remember if i kept resetting for a new deck, i decided I'd learn whatever was in my hands at that moment. I do wish that outside of part 2 the gem abilities were more used, as well as if it were possible to bring the aspects of the other characters into that original gameplay loop, of the map, creatures, & bosses. However I completely understand how in the narrative that's not that easy to do, but regardless I had a blast playing. [\spoiler]
