Overall, the enemy was just better - more coordinated, countered us at least in part and managed to build up and keep their advantage. That's all I see to that match.
Venge (you) did fine, at least in terms of your build, I don't remember the game enough and don't care to watch the replay to judge how you played. I assume there was nothing to complain about.
Medusa tried out a build with Eternal Shroud, making her nigh-unkillable (which got fixed a couple days later). It was somewhat of a troll build but we knew it would work.

One hero alone rarely can carry a match and one match alone is no indicator for player performance. The enemy team ended up being better, so they won.
If you look at the advantage graph (https://www.opendota.com/matches/7499128974) , you'll see that dire had the advantage the entire time, so it could be argued that we would have lost faster or harder if I hadn't gone with divines to begin with (being the most gold efficient and powerful raw damage item in the game).
