Welcome To My Steam Blog (Slog)
Years ago, I was one of "The Nine" that got to go to Valve because of the Portal 2 ARG. I wrote a trip report about my experience at being a "champion" which you can read below. At the time, I used the terrible nickname Ariel Faith Plate... I changed my name to Power of Seven because Bungie's Marathon was probably the first FPS game that I actually liked. I'm not very good at coming up with nicknames.

I've actually been playing video games for over 30 years, and I love PC gaming dearly. Feel free to talk to me about video games any time.

I found out that I also loved writing and talking about video games almost as much as playing them. It's strange but I think that I should have been a video game journalist.

I now write about games that are currently (or will be) on Steam, especially on indie games. To read my Steam blog, you just need to be on my Friend List. My Slog articles are put in the Friend Activity page of your Steam account, and I try to write an article once a day. If you're reading my Slogs, feel free to post commentary (positive or negative) about my writing.

100% complete on Carto. It's a good simple puzzle game, and it has a decent ending to it. The game implies that there's going to be DLC.

100% complete on Unpacking. It's a really good game where the story is told without words, and the game has a surprising amount of detail in the pixel art.

100% complete on Weird West. I really love the atmosphere and especially the random map generation in this game. Each time you start a campaign, nearly all of the towns and locations are randomized each time. But the game is so freaking buggy, I easily hit them without trying, and these are gameplay bugs that ruin the experience. It happens so much that I don't even feel like playing the game through a second time.

100% complete on Two Point Hospital. The game is pretty fun in vanilla, but the DLCs got increasingly more annoying over time. The final DLC, Stitch In Time, is surprisingly less frustrating than the others. A lot of the achievements also really suck in this game and some are outright broken (the monobrow hunting one is a great example).
