"No matter what else happens to you today, you can tell your friends that you didn't spend $4.80 to get a Level 5 Holiday Sale Badge." What if you did??? J/K ROFL
Power of Seven 22 Jan, 2023 @ 3:26pm
100% complete on Carto. It's a good simple puzzle game, and it has a decent ending to it. The game implies that there's going to be DLC.

Can you change your steam ID?
Power of Seven 26 Aug, 2022 @ 6:54pm
100% complete on Unpacking. It's a really good game where the story is told without words, and the game has a surprising amount of detail in the pixel art.
Power of Seven 19 Jun, 2022 @ 8:36pm
100% complete on Weird West. I really love the atmosphere and especially the random map generation in this game. Each time you start a campaign, nearly all of the towns and locations are randomized each time. But the game is so freaking buggy, I easily hit them without trying, and these are gameplay bugs that ruin the experience. It happens so much that I don't even feel like playing the game through a second time.
Power of Seven 25 Jan, 2022 @ 8:34am
100% complete on Two Point Hospital. The game is pretty fun in vanilla, but the DLCs got increasingly more annoying over time. The final DLC, Stitch In Time, is surprisingly less frustrating than the others. A lot of the achievements also really suck in this game and some are outright broken (the monobrow hunting one is a great example).
Power of Seven 28 Aug, 2021 @ 10:07pm
100% complete on Haven Park. This is a cute game that has a surprisingly melancholy twist ending. But it's still pretty good. The developer also listens to feedback from players.
Power of Seven 2 Jun, 2021 @ 5:02pm
100% complete on 80 Days but I admit that I used mods because the game is hyper-frustrating without them. The game has an incredible amount of storytelling and I wish that they had made it where you were less pressured by the other factors and let you play and enjoy the story.
Power of Seven 7 May, 2021 @ 7:54pm
100% complete on NUTS. It is a short indie game with a slightly bizarre storyline. It's all right. The game play is quite unique.
Power of Seven 30 Apr, 2021 @ 12:26pm
100% complete on Rusty Lake Hotel. This was part of a free game giveaway as Rusty Lake celebrated its 6th year anniversary this week. It's not a bad game but it is a bit unsettling. The ending is very strange and you need to play all the games to fully understand it.
Power of Seven 17 Apr, 2021 @ 10:20pm
100% complete on Manifold Garden. The artwork is phenomenal on this game, which should be expected as William Chyr is a real artist and not originally a game developer. However, I have to admit that the game doesn't hold your hand much and sometimes you can get really confused on what to do.
Power of Seven 20 Mar, 2021 @ 1:20pm
100% complete on Loop Hero. I can't believe that I did it on this game. It does have a fair amount of grind toward the end, but I can't deny that the game is fairly well made.
Power of Seven 30 Jan, 2021 @ 10:43pm
100% complete on Mutazione. It's a good, story-driven game. It's more visual novel in effect than game because the story is so linear, but I liked it anyway. I did not like that the game automatically deletes your save once you finish the story.
Power of Seven 12 Jul, 2020 @ 10:02am
100% complete (again) on Megaquarium, after doing the annoying Sandbox Trials. You don't need the DLC to do them, by the way.
Power of Seven 4 May, 2020 @ 6:50pm
100% complete on Hypnospace Outlaw. It wasn't a bad game, but toward the end it was super frustrating and annoying trying to claw through the final pages one at a time. A few days ago, somebody released a 100% completion guide to the game and that worked. I need to say that without it, only 0.3% of all people ever did it on their own.
Power of Seven 1 May, 2020 @ 8:36pm
100% complete on Samsara Room which is a free game. I will admit that the Rusty Lake games get surprisingly complex and toward the end, I had no idea what was going on. I did get through 2/3 of the game without help but there's no way that I could have gotten the special ending on my own.
Power of Seven 27 Apr, 2020 @ 10:03pm
Despite that Kingdom Rush is six years old, it recently released a new update. I had to replay the entire game from scratch as the entire game went from Flash to Unity and my save game got lost. I did get 100% unlocks with the new update and it was surprsingly pretty challenging.
Power of Seven 6 Apr, 2020 @ 9:02pm
100% complete on Return of Obra Dinn. This was a pretty good game, but I will admit that it was really hard to understand the clues and it's easier to see them in retrospect. It's still a really good game and probably the only true Sherlock Holmes game as the entire game relies on physical evidence and deduction.
Power of Seven 14 Mar, 2020 @ 9:26pm
100% complete on Kentucky Route Zero. I'm not sure what to think about the game. Act 5 and beyond feels strange, like I didn't get the resolution that I wanted. The game is so interesting and the characters are so unique. But maybe the ending is about the remaining cast getting a new chance on life. Maybe that's what it means.
Power of Seven 4 Feb, 2020 @ 8:01pm
100% complete on VA-11 Hall-A, the worst title of all time for a video game. It was okay, but I had to get help on the god-awful mini-game. Many critics insist this game is really great, but it's not very well written for the most part. Here's a giant tip for developers: If you're a straight male, then don't make a game about what it's like to be a gay female.
Power of Seven 31 Jan, 2020 @ 5:03pm
100% complete on Eliza. This game has been listed several times as one of the best-written games of 2019, and I can see why. The characters are surprisingly complicated and the setting is reasonably realistic. The achievement is to beat the Zachtronics-developed mini-game which is shockingly difficult.
Power of Seven 24 Jan, 2020 @ 7:35pm
100% complete on The Hex. I don't know why people like this game so much, as the story isn't THAT great. Like Daniel Mullen's first game, Pony Island, this game is very meta and breaks the fourth wall and even has a ARG portion to it. I guess some people really like that, but I'm more into real plot and character development.
Power of Seven 23 Jan, 2020 @ 7:16pm
100% complete on GRIS. Gris is French for "gray" and it's a reference to how the main character starts off seeing the world without color. Over time, you add color back in it, and you realize that the game is a metaphor for overcoming grief. The best part of this game is the unique and beautiful visual design.
Power of Seven 16 Jan, 2020 @ 8:01pm
100% complete on The Gardens Between. Short game but really incredible graphics. You can't control the characters directly in the game, and instead control time forward and backward, as well as an action key which can move physical objects. The story is not super-deep but I liked the atmosphere.
Power of Seven 12 Jan, 2020 @ 6:39pm
100% complete on Baba Is You. That is one of the hardest games that I've ever played, and I honestly didn't know what was going on toward the end. I cannot deny that I could not stop playing it, using the help guides to move the game along, despite that I barely understood the game mechanics.
Power of Seven 24 Dec, 2019 @ 10:05pm
100% complete on Vignettes. It's an all right game, but some of the puzzles got very frustrating because of the pixel-perfect demand. Also, some locations are supposed to be dual path, meaning that you can return from where you were, but they become one-way in some instances which makes the game longer and frustrating.
Power of Seven 23 Dec, 2019 @ 1:19pm
100% complete on Frog Detective 1 and 2. The developer claims that she wants to do a total of seven games (chapters) but I don't know if the game has that much momentum. They are quick and cute games with family-friendly humor.
Power of Seven 15 Dec, 2019 @ 4:36pm
Far: Lone Sails is 100% complete. Some of the achievements are really awful, and also the odometer isn't saved to the cloud, which meant that I had to redo A LOT of the game.
Power of Seven 26 Nov, 2019 @ 6:35pm
Holy crap, I forgot to update this page in forever. I've actually finished more games but I keep forgetting. Megaquarium is one. I also completed The Stanley Parable for real. I waited five years and got the final achievement.
Power of Seven 19 Jan, 2019 @ 5:26pm
100% complete on Lake Ridden. I bought this game because the developers were frustrated that nobody was buying their game despite the positive reviews, and they didn't know what to do. After playing this game, I can say that some of the puzzle design isn't very good and the story is really confusing and weird.
Power of Seven 12 Jan, 2019 @ 7:57pm
100% complete on The Room Three. It was pretty good and somewhat easier than The Room Two, but the story is really bizarre. I don't know if the game is setting up a potential Room Four or what.
Power of Seven 29 Dec, 2018 @ 5:55pm
100% complete on The Sexy Brutale. I liked it at the beginning but it started to get kind of tedious because you had to either wait for things to happen, or wait for people to leave the room as you cannot be spotted in the game. It's got a decent soundtrack however.
Power of Seven 22 Dec, 2018 @ 8:59pm
100% complete on GNOG. This is a very short game, probably designed for families to play since it has no dialogue and has no fail states. Still, it has some really amazing music and sound effects. It's not too bad of a game.
Power of Seven 14 Dec, 2018 @ 12:19pm
100% complete on Donut County. It's not a sophisticated game and it doesn't last very long. There is a boss fight at the end that's probably easier for younger folks (as an old man, it's pretty tough). That said, the game is super-funny and my favorite part is looking through the Trashpedia, an encyclopedia written by a raccoon showing how they see the world.
Power of Seven 2 Dec, 2018 @ 5:25pm
100% complete on A Case of Distrust. This is a short text-adventure noir detective game that has interesting graphics tied into it. The game is not bad from a storytelling aspect, although the case that you solve is not necessarily super-amazing. It's still an all right game.
Power of Seven 26 Nov, 2018 @ 6:17pm
100% complete on CHUCHEL. I have really liked Amarita Design games in the past, and this one was highly recommended, but I found it to be just okay. I didn't understand what I was doing for half of the puzzles and at least one or two I had to click the "Help" button (which explains what you're supposed to be doing). It's a short game with a simple ending.
Power of Seven 25 Nov, 2018 @ 6:52pm
100% complete on Framed Collection. The collection is made of Framed 1 and 2, formerly a mobile game but still fun and surprisingly challenging. The game is quite short however. Still, I was surprised when it's revealed that Framed 2 is actually a prequel and it explains why the hero is running in Framed 1.
Power of Seven 20 Nov, 2018 @ 7:34pm
100% complete on Quadrilateral Cowboy. Believe it or not, you don't actually have to complete the missions without tripping the alarms. Even on the final levels, there's ways to set off the alarms without getting killed by the defensive turrets. The game is not bad. It was considered the best game of the year in the IGF.
Power of Seven 20 Nov, 2018 @ 7:33pm
100% complete on Mark of the Ninja: Remastered. Remastered is the same game but it's now with a new engine for better lighting and supports 4K graphics. It's still a great game.
Power of Seven 18 Oct, 2018 @ 10:40pm
100% on Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet. Technically a sequel to a much older adventure game, it's not bad. It's got a fair bit of humor in it, and it has Tom Baker (the Fourth Doctor) as Sebastian, Nelly's main companion and hint guide. Not an excessively long game, which is great, because some adventure games get stale if they are overly long and frustrating.
Mercy 10 Oct, 2018 @ 6:56pm
Hello!
Power of Seven 19 Sep, 2018 @ 7:05pm
100% on Orwell. That's a very unusual game but it had some pretty decent plot twists. There's multiple endings, but only one is canon as there's a sequel to the game. But I heard the sequel isn't very well made so I won't bother.
Power of Seven 17 Aug, 2018 @ 8:51pm
100% complete on The Town of Light. This game is somewhat unique in that it's fictional, but it talks about how mental patients were treated (and abused) in the early 20th century. It's also "real" horror in that you're walking around the ruins of an abandoned institution and everything is full of decay. The story doesn't end well.
Power of Seven 27 Jun, 2018 @ 11:28pm
100% complete on Burly Men at Sea. This is more of a "short story" game where you play the game multiple times to discover all the "adventures". Each full story adventure only takes about 20 minutes or less, as you have to start from the beginning each time. I liked the art style but I was a little disappointed as this was heavily praised by RockPaperShotgun.
Power of Seven 24 Jun, 2018 @ 8:33pm
100% complete on Hidden Folks. Normally I don't play hidden object games, but I've been told that this game is surprisingly good. It's like Where's Waldo (Where's Wally for those in the U.K.). Some maps are HUGE, however, and it takes a ton of patience to search every square inch of the map to find everything. Surprisingly enough, there's DLC coming out despite the game is over a year old.
Power of Seven 11 Jun, 2018 @ 7:40pm
100% complete on Everything. This was actually an interesting game, but I was struggling to try to unlock, well, "everything" in the game. The game becomes a painful grind if you try it. It turns out that you don't need to find all the objects to "complete" the game. If I had known that then I wouldn't have spent so much time trying to do it.
Power of Seven 7 Jun, 2018 @ 8:11pm
100% complete on Pan-Pan. It's a colorful adventure game. However, without any dialogue and the open-world nature of the game makes it kind of confusing in places. It's all right.
Power of Seven 18 Apr, 2018 @ 8:21pm
100% complete on Marie's Room. Marie's Room is a free game that only lasts one hour and it's pretty good. Many compare it to a short, free version of What Remains of Edith Finch. While there are parts of the story that I didn't like, I like how the game uses the idea of an unreliable narrator.
Power of Seven 20 Mar, 2018 @ 6:44pm
100% complete on Gone Home. Despite the controversy that it's "not a game", it's actually pretty well done and tells a fairly complete story. It's interesting how one seemingly-typical American family secretly struggles with a number of complex subjects including child abuse, failing marriages, and identity issues.
Power of Seven 3 Mar, 2018 @ 8:46am
100% complete (finally) on Go! Go! Nippon! I remember when this game first came out and it was actually pretty exciting as it reminded me of my trips to Japan. The DLC is definitely recommended as there's many more places to visit and it will eventually cover all of Tokyo. For a travel guide, it's only average, and as a dating sim, well, the dialogue gets pretty silly and it's borderline bad. I like history and travel, but this game tends to visit random places and sometimes focuses on bizarre trivia.
