"There's more to explore here."

This is the philosophy that drives players to explore the masterfully crafted clockwork universe presented in Outer Wilds. There are no map markers, there are no objectives, and there are no quests. The only thing you do in the game is purely driven by your sense of curiosity and exploration. People who've beat the game will waste no time recommending this game to everyone around them, but it's incredibly difficult to do so without taking away from the experience, as it is so reliant on personal discovery and realization. It's been incredibly long since I've played and beat this game, but it still remains as one of my favorite gaming experiences ever. Not only is this game an amazing experience on its own, but it's an incredibly personal one at that.

As mentioned before, you are not required to do anything; you are not told to go anywhere, nor are you shown what to do. It is you who actively chooses this system filled to the brim with mysteries, and piecing together each and every piece of information until you see the full picture is a feeling that only this game can deliver to you. This game is dripping with quality and substance– as you play the game, you will begin to notice tiny things that the developers have added to the game that aren't necessary, but serves to add to the impeccable level of immersion achieved by the game. Outer Wilds takes aspects that only games can achieve, and pushes games as a medium to its limits to tell a masterfully crafted narrative, and you can tell that the game was made from a dev team driven by passion. It's absolutely mind-blowing to think that this was Mobius Digital's first game, and I am excited to see what they deliver next.

The game very much feels like one of those "once-in-a-lifetime" experience that really stay with you, and I don't see this game leaving my system for the forseeable future. Reaching the ending of the game felt like seeing the ending of a journey that I never wanted to see come to an end, and seeing each mystery of the game unravel one by one felt incredible, but also felt bittersweet knowing that I'll never have that sense of awe and mystery for this game ever again. Many people wish they could erase their memories playing this game just so that they may experience the whole thing over again, and after beating the game, I finally see why the fanbase is obsessed with chasing this specific feeling again.

If I could recommend one game to someone to show someone what games as a medium are capable of doing, it would be Outer Wilds. I strongly, strongly recommend this game.
