Originally, I purchased Mad Max to even out my cart since it was only 5 bucks. My first instinct is to think that if the game is based off of something from other media (in this case a movie series), that it'll be a tacky afterthought to make a extra quick few bucks. However, this game is much more than that. I may be a bit biased because I am a huge fan of of dystopian and post-apocalyptic scenarios (and of course I'm a big fan of Mad Max), but this game has a lot more going for it than just it's scenery.

Mad Max is mainly about upgrading your vehicle, managing alliances, and flushing out enemy outposts. It has a bit of story mixed in. It's nothing big, but it's there nonetheless and it helps extend the amazing setting. Oh, the setting. You'd be inclined to say that a giant desert would be too empty and boring to explore. You'd be mistaken, however, as the developers have done an amazing job keeping a fresh feel without going to overboard. Some areas are flat, rocky wastelands. Other areas are large, sprawling canyons with remnants of highway landmarks and destroyed ships.

I have to admit, I have not completed the game yet. Obviously I plan on beating it, but I've got through a good portion of the missions in the game and from what I can tell, it's in a good spot. I definitely recommend this game to people who like racing, fighting, or both at the same time.
