Did you enjoy the crazy awesome mayhem of Just Cause 2? Then there's a pretty good chance you'll enjoy this one as well. However, I recommend waiting for sale prices. It's difficult for me to pinpoint exactly what it's lacking, but for some reason I'm not finding JC3 to be quite as much fun as its predecessor.

Still a lot of fun, though, and the explosions are glorious, the wingsuit and new grapple are very well done and fun to use, and the game is gorgeous.

The always-online-ness can be annoying, especially if you have a touchy internet connection, as it will still try to reconnect even in "offline mode". But as long as your connection is stable and unlikely to drop, competing with Steam friends on challenges and such is kind of nice.

Anyway, good game. Good fun. Lacking something of the fun of its predecessor. Definitely get it on sale, if this is your style of game. Maybe get it at regular price; you'll still get many hours of fun out of it. :)

This is such a great Tomb Raider game, now with over 1000% more tomb raiding than the 2013 reboot! :D

I was very happy with the 2013 reboot, and thought it was a pretty decent Tomb Raider game (though lacking in the tomb raiding) and a good reboot for the series (I also quite enjoyed the previous Anniversary, Legend, and Underworld). Well this one is even better. They improved on just about everything: the platforming, the combat, the graphics, the tombs, the story telling, everything. They even got rid of most of the annoying quick-time events and gratuitous death scenes.

It runs quite well; I only had to turn a few settings down or off (Hairworks, HBAO+) and I had playable framerates on my aging GeForce GTX880M at 1920x1080; they did tank into the 20s maybe twice in the game in some graphics intense situations, but never never during cutscenes or combat. PC controls work fine (I chose to play with KB/M; only tiny issue is a mislabeled button in the map tutorial: it says press space to mark an objective, but you actually have to press enter). All in all a good port (or perhaps a parallel development?).

Seriously, though, if you enjoyed Tomb Raider 2013 but felt it lacked in the tomb raiding department, then you'll want this game. Crystal Dynamics NAILED IT! :)

What an outstandingly fun way to practice your typing ability!

Not much else to say. Words appear on the screen. You type them. Zombies get shot. If you don't type fast enough or accurately, the zombies kill you.

I had a lot of fun with this. :D

I give this game a yes recommendation only if you don't already have the original Metro 2033 but instead are coming to these games for the first time. The "Redux" features just aren't all that compelling to buy the game again. Unless you also enjoyed Metro 2033 and want an excuse to play it again and be able to go for all of the achievements again. ;)

This is very much an on-rails linear shooter without much in the way of exploration and nothing at all in the way of open world. That's fine; just know it going into the game. Otherwise, this game is quite good and has an amazing atmosphere. It's an interesting story. The environments are amazing. The characters and character designs are pretty good. The voice acting in English is acceptable (for some real immersion, set the audio to Russian and turn on English subtitles; mind you, you may miss some audio cues from not knowing what guards are saying as only main conversations are subtitled, I think).

All in all, it's a good game. Definitely worth getting if you are new to the Metro games. Maybe worth getting on sale if you already have the originals of the Metro games.

This is one of the best mediocre games I have played in a long time. It really doesn't bring anything new or exciting to the table in terms of game-play and mechanics. It has a lot of grind to it for completionists. It's just not that special.

HOWEVER, it absolutely nails the mayhem and insanity of the universe portrayed by the Mad Max movies, especially (and obviously) Fury Road. Do you want to play a Mad Max movie? Do you want to explore that world a bit and see more of the wastelands? Do you want to crash, blow up, grind, and otherwise wreck a lot of cars? Then I think you'll enjoy the hell out of this game.

It does all that and it is gorgeous while doing so. The game runs incredibly smooth, and though it almost feels like a console game meant for being played with a controller, I found I preferred playing it with keyboard and mouse (I feel the same way about the Arkham games).

8/10. Most mediocre games are just mediocre. This one is fun as hell. :)

This may very well be the best RPG ever made (to date), and if not then definitely among the top few. Top notch story-telling, amazing environments, outstanding character design, decent voice acting, and very good game-play all combine to make this the best (or among the top few best) game of 2015, IMNSHO.

Everything is an improvement over previous Witcher games. The story is intense. Even the side-quests all have their own little stories to make them make sense and fit into the world. A fetch quest never really feels like a fetch quest. Most of the monster contracts (as well as many main quests) feel more like mysteries to be solved rather than "go here, kill this, come back" type quests. And there's often quite a lot of depth to even superficially shallow characters, as well as a lot of difficult choices to make. There were many times where I had to think hard about a choice to be made, and even then spend time second-guessing it after. Because you get so invested in the story that you really do end up trying to make your choices fit the characters as you see them.

One recommendation: while it's not required to have read the books to enjoy this and the other Witcher games, I'd highly recommend it. Not only does it add even more depth and fill out the world, but it helps to understand the motivations and back-stories of many of the main characters in this game.

10/10. Worth it at full price. Extremely worth it on sale. :)

Just as much fun and over-the top craziness as you would expect from a Saints Row game. The only negative I have of this game is that it is really grindy to complete all of the challenges to get that achievement (which I guess is the point of that achievement, natch ;) ). If you don't care about that or don't mind that, then the game is nothing but fun, with a musical number! :D

Did you like Saints Row the Third and Saints Row IV? Then you also want this. :)

I didn't really think I needed a budget, and I'm still not entirely sure that I do, but this is still a great application for keeping one and keeping track of your money. It's easy to use, easy to set up, and does a good job of letting you see where you money is going and making you think about how you spend and save and allocate your money.

Combined with the free mobile apps (I'm using them on iOS) and synced with Dropbox, keeping track of your spending as you go is pretty easy.

It's a good app. Even if you don't really need a budget because you are doing pretty well at controlling your money, but would like to have better idea of how you are spending your money each month or a bit of motivation to pay more attention to how you allocate your funds, this may be the app for you. :)

I read a review for this game that said something along the lines of "it's like playing a Studio Ghibli movie", and that's pretty spot on. I find this to be an excellent, wonderful game. The graphics are gorgeous. The character design is great. The music is nice. The story is pretty good. In short, I love this game. You may, too, depending on the following:

Do you like platformers?
Do you like, or at least not mind, somewhat unforgiving platformers, where you may have to do a section over and over again until you've got the route and routine down?

If so, then this is a game for you. If not, and you still decide to get this game, prepare for a lot of frustration.

Great game. Worth it at full price. Super worth it on sale. :)
Note: You'll probably want to play with a controller. People can and do play it using KB/M, but I gather that may be a bit more frustrating.

In my opinion, this is a good, solid fighting game, and if you've played any of the DOA games in the past, then you'll feel right at home with this. Granted, I'm not much into fighting games, and the last one I really played was DOA3 on the original XBox. Playing this feels just like that. The fight controls are smooth and responsive, the different fighting styles of the characters require you to learn them rather than just button mash (assuming you want to progress beyond Easy difficulty), there are a lot of characters to choose from, and they are well designed.

And it has all of the trademark fan service you would expect from a DOA game, so if you aren't into that sort of thing and can't ignore it, then this game may not be for you.

I'm aware that the game isn't as feature complete as the PS4 version, but frankly, I couldn't care less about that. It is still a good fun fighting game, or at least it is from the point of view of the casual player of fighting games. My only real disappointment in this game is the lack of Steam achievements. A game like this is practically begging for achievements, the the lack of them is glaring (let's hope they include them in a future update).

Otherwise, it plays great on my machine (MSi GT60 2PE Dominator Pro, 2.8GHz, 24GB RAM, 8GB GeForce GTX880M graphics @ 1920x1080) with my plugged in XBox 360 controller (I have nothing to say about KB/M controls, as I haven't bothered to try it, and frankly wouldn't really consider playing a fighting game like this with KB/M). The lack of complete controller support (no controller vibration) is a minor disappointment, but not a dealbreaker.

So, if you have liked DOA games in the past and are itching to play one on your PC (for example, if you are like me and haven't owned a console in a long time, and so haven't been able to play a DOA game for a long time), and if you aren't worried about the fact that the console versions do have some more features, then you'll probably want this game. Just be aware of what you are getting into; read the DOA5 FAQ first to see if the game will be enjoyable with your set up and play style, because my personal experiences with the game probably aren't generally applicable across all of the various hardware and play styles out there: http://teamninja-studio.com/doa5/lastround/us/info_faq_steam.html

And for one final big HOWEVER, you may want to wait a bit for some future updates to bring more promised features like online play, as well as wait for a sale price, as it may not quite be worth full price for you right now (Here in Thailand, the price has more than doubled on release day from the pre-order price; I payed 652.10 Baht for the game, and now the price is showing 1431.00 Baht! Definitely wait for a sale).
