Favorite GAME(playing) and also deep emotional attachment were Zombies Ate My Neighbours and Donkey Kong 2(both on the Snes). Not such a favorite on gameplay(its awesome still) but deeply meaningful to me was Star Fox, snes, my first cartridge, first console and the only game my dad also liked (and we raced each other speedrunning it)
But id also put as high Heretic 2 (PC), to this day a jewel. I missed a lot of the plot and found it creepy but i already loved fantasy and it had such a interesting world and ambience... and it was mindblowing for me what games could do/become. Heck to this day even- gaming went for a more casual locked animation route and Heretic 2 you play an acrobat with deep movement and complete finesse control in ways rarely done. Heck ive only seen that in Heretic 2 and Oni.
(I was kidding but I actually played that game which is specifically a flash game back in late 2000s and early 2010s, I forgot the year when it was released. I only mentioned this game as a playful poke to your identity theme for Santa Claus)
Anyways, as for the game I enjoyed playing as a kid are a lot in list actually. Perhaps it would be; "Contra Force" from Koonami, "Fantasia" from SEGA, "Battletoads (Genesis)" from Tradewest, "Super Mario Bros." and "Mario Party Advance" from Nintendo, "Legend of Kage" and "Road Fighter" from Famicom.
My favorite childhood game is The Legend of Dragoon for the PS1, because of things like the memories I have playing it, and I really love the story and the way the turn-based combat works. Another similar game is Wild Arms 2, or any other game from the series, but 1 & 2 specifically also for the memories but for the soundtracks too.
