I'm rather conflicted on the game. TLDR; I recommend the game for its innovation despite others said and the dev's hard work but there are design decisions that are either poorly thought out or implemented.

I will not going into details on vehicle health bar and other hot topics that are being debated quite thoroughly by others.

On one hand there are many thoughtful improvements and features compares to previous entries and Gates of Hell, such as improved AI controls, modernized UI and graphics, easily managed trench building mechanic, etc.

On the other hand while I do like the concept of battalion deck building and frontline system, it has many fundamental design flaws that prevents many players from enjoying the game.

The current gameplay in its default battalion mode focuses too much on teamplay(which is hard to come by in a random match) to the point it strips player to the bare minimum in terms of properly building a versatile and fun deck.
To put in some details, in other deck building RTS/RTT games(namely Wargame and Steel Division), player is abled to build a deck specialized in certain playstyle via bonuses and penalties by choosing a regiment/brigade or whatever it is called similar to the MOWII's battalion system.
However in these games they don't just take away all but one type of unit, they incentivize the player towards building a specialized deck. For example you may be having less tanks in a infantry focused deck but never/rarely you will be having no tanks, and you get more slots for infantry or cheaper cost that makes you lean on getting more infantry.
This is not the case in MOWII, in MOWII you are not being penalized for choosing tanks in a infantry deck, you simply cannot get any form of tanks or even basic AT emplacement to counter the enemy with your deck only some AA, aircrafts, and bazookas, this design alone forces player into playing with other players that are also being stripped by the current system, yet as I mentioned, teamplay is nearly impossible in a random match because we are all cats and cats cannot be herd.
I know there is the combined arms game mode that let you choose whatever you want when building a deck, but that game mode has no specialization bonuses or any proper limitation so you just go for whatever infantry and tank that is the best at each phase.

In the end, a good game none the less but I'm having a hard time convincing myself this is the good way to go with its current multiplayer system.

两个种族的独特机制比起原版更有所精进,分别新增了种族专属的特性和政体,更加鼓励玩家利用相应的机制进行发展。不过这俩阵营的舰船设计和某际某霸之间的查重率不能说大相径庭,也只能是似曾相识了。
