Mouthwashing was more than just a game; it was an experience that unearthed the vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and deep recesses I often prefer to keep hidden. It was filled with scenes where interests clashed, human values were questioned, and where, in trying to decide which path was “right,” my consciousness was thrown into turmoil. Amid this chaos, I encountered an atmosphere where many players—perhaps even society at large—paid a high price for the mistakes they made in their attempts to elevate themselves.

The game repeatedly tries to tackle the concept of “humanity,” yet each time, it leads us to face another kind of reckoning.
A persistent question lingered:

Do we rise by crushing others, or do we survive by finding solidarity within ourselves?

For me personally, it was deeply triggering to witness how some people build walls around themselves, others dig holes they can’t escape, and still others open their eyes to the world while slamming their hearts shut. It made me ask, “Why are we doing all this?” Recognizing this question in myself may be an admission that true answers about humanity are born from painful questioning.

Over time, I’ve come to realize that understanding exactly where someone else’s space ends and my own begins is the subtle threshold where empathy, respect, and genuine connection thrive. Yes, Mouthwashing made it glaringly obvious that following rules, taking responsibility, and existing without trampling on others’ rights demands a serious struggle. It isn’t just a game—it’s a mirror reflecting human nature, our desires and fears, our regrets and ambitions.

Maybe we get lost while searching for “the right way,” or maybe we set out merely to defend ourselves and win. But eventually, we realize we pay for our choices, our words, and our actions in one way or another.

Mouthwashing reminds us of a simple truth:

“No matter how many masks you wear, a reckoning always awaits.”

In the midst of all these contradictions and complex emotions, I’ve found myself drawn closer to this question that resonates in life:

Does being human mean taking responsibility for our actions?

Or does it mean wearing as many masks as necessary to achieve success, no matter the cost?

This is exactly where Mouthwashing lands its biggest blow, revealing what’s hidden in the depths of our eyes. When the game ended, a thought echoed through my mind: “Are you ready to face your own truth?” And I know that for those brave enough to confront this question, Mouthwashing will not remain a mere game—it will be a journey that both wounds and strengthens them.

If you’re ready to embark on this journey, remember: the most important thing you can bring along is your courage and your willingness to confront what you discover. Because true strength lies in carrying a light bright enough to illuminate the darkness you’re bound to face.

And yeah...

Şayet doyduysan tuhaflıklar görmeye,
Gözden saklananları,
Sür atını on bin gün ve gece,
İhtiyarlık yağdırıncaya dek akları.
Dönünce de bana söyle
Hangi tuhaf harikalar çarptı gözlerine,
  Ve yemin et bana
  Rastlamadığına
Vefalı ve güzel bir kadına.

Şayet..."
