It has a better butt slider than Dragon Age.

Early Access Review
This game has done more for the game industry as a whole and has pushed the boundaries of 60fps open-world games far more than anything a certain other developer has done in the past 10 years. Buy this game, support this game. Encourage the monster collecting genre to grow and continue to improve.

Nominated for Game of the Year. Palworld deserves our support.

No, I'm not changing my review. Stop being a sheep.

I mean, I have crossplay disabled anyway. This is a PC game to me. I'm glad I won't need to completely give it up, now. I hope the planned date rolls around and PSN will never be required. GameGuard is still a resource hog that shouldn't be in the game, and I would like it removed. The region lock is still active, though - people are celebrating way too early.

It's a good game that captures the classic feeling of online co-op games, and I hope it gets better optimized.

We need a mod that makes Haru say "Great vegetables." like Dojima every time the player harvests them. Please, modding community, this is essential.

A Promising Base for Mod Support

This is the most complete game I've ever seen centered around macro. Many projects that are similar to this just end up being tech demos without a clear goal, and don't really take time to consider multiple player actions or ways to balance them. This isn't the case with Pawperty Damage. It's a basic high score / time attack game that actually requires some strategy and stamina management in order to do well.

At smaller sizes, you can't hit as much, but your actions are faster and don't cost as much stamina. At larger sizes, your attack range is obviously much wider, but you also move slower and spend more stamina. You need to adapt as your character gets larger and use the vehicles around the map in order to replenish stamina faster. The VIP targets, which randomly appear on the map, also encourage you to move around more as opposed to just walking in a straight line. This makes every game slightly different, and makes going for high scores more enjoyable.

The custom game and sandbox modes also keep things fresh, by allowing you to set a different starting size, growth rate, damage scale, and stamina cost. This is perfect for just messing around, or seeing how quickly you can get a high score with these new rules. There is only one map, but the proof of concept is already well-established. If the game allows mod support in the future, this could easily be an amazing hub for tons of content. Some extra achievements, such as "Accumulate X amount of money in damage across all playthroughs" would also give the game some long-term goals to work towards.

Amazing proof of concept, and overall just a very fun game. I absolutely recommend it.

Nominated for "Most Innovative Gameplay" because it made me question my life choices. In all seriousness, however, this is arguably the most complete and well-polished game I've ever played that was specifically centered around a niche interest. The size manipulation is an actual gameplay mechanic that you need to manage in order to play effectively, rather than something you just mindlessly increase for the sake of size. Only in New Game+ do they let you max your size out in the early levels, which gives you a reason to replay it.

It's unfortunate that Steam doesn't allow a 'neutral' option for reviews, since that's how I feel about this release. It doesn't matter much since I just found out that this game has been delisted from Steam, making only those who owned the game prior to its delisting able to navigate to the store page and see these reviews.

I liked playing this on PC much more than on console, since the 60 FPS allows you to get used to the more difficult handling model much more naturally. On a 30 FPS locked console, you'd only be able to respond to said handling half as well. Every car handles differently, and it's reflected by its class and modification options. Some cars handle well right off the factory floor, whereas others require full upgrades and a Works conversion in order to compete at the higher levels. This relationship between the Works conversions and the stock supercars makes the game dynamic and enjoyable, especially when you master the handling model of each car.

Unfortunately, since there isn't any more official support for this game, none of the game-breaking glitches will be addressed. Your save file may randomly disappear when the game closes, or be left in an unplayable state if you fill up your My Cars garage. The game may incorrectly state that you do not have any more space for cars even if you sell them, locking you in the Car Lot screen and forcing you to Alt + F4 in order to exit the game.

I really liked the environment and handling model this game offers. If you still have access to the Steam version, though, you'll need an unofficial patch in order to fix the game breaking bugs.

Buy it while you can. Due to the licence expiring, this character pack will no longer be available after October 1st. You're getting a fully voiced character for just over a dollar, so it's well worth it.

While modders make the experience less than enjoyable, this can be avoided by finding your own public session. With friends working together to make money while screwing around, the experience has so many activities and options, it's very difficult to get bored with it once you've figured out what you want out of it.

Racing, doing heists, collecting cars, upgrading properties, completing sell missions for money, flying aircraft... the game has added so much content over the years, any negative feelings about it I've had in the past have been more than made up for with the sheer amount of things to do.

...Did I mention that there's also a singleplayer story mode to this game?
