Persona 5 gave me everything I wanted in a JRPG game . It has a long, evolving story with major twists, focusing on human desires and how even good people can be blinded by them. It introduces a second world that reflects the inner thoughts and desires of its characters. The characters fighting alongside you are distinct, both in story and gameplay, each has unique abilities and can be swapped mid-dungeon. The combat system revolves around doing as much as possible in the fewest turns, exploiting enemy weaknesses to knock them down, chaining attacks, and mocking them. The idea of using Personas (Shadows) to fuse and create endless strategies is genius. The game drip-feeds mechanics gradually instead of overwhelming you upfront.

The dungeons have clear objectives and optional areas, and this time, unlike Persona 4, dungeon design is important. You can hide, steal, and ambush enemies from behind, making it feel like a real dungeon crawl. The RPG elements aren't the only part, life simulation is Part 2: you manage your time, bond with characters, attend school, take exams, and everything you do impacts gameplay. For example, strengthening relationships unlocks new abilities or special moves. I love how interconnected everything is; every choice matters (even if choices don’t change the outcome, the reactions to your choices feel meaningful). What helps is the game's stylish design, which immerses you in its vibe with sharp, stylized visuals, bold colors, and a legendary soundtrack.

Persona 5 is a masterpiece, you have to play it.
