When I first saw folks saying "Best Bioware game since ME2" I was praying I wouldn't be disappointed. That is a very high bar. So far, I'm blown away. This game is absolutely gorgeous, the writing has plenty of nuance, and they waste no time sucking you back into the world of Thedas. I'm a huge fan of DA:Origins and still think it's the best of the first three games, but this one very well may take the cake. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to play a VERY good video game. I'd write more, but I really wanna get back to playing it.

Early Access Review
I am having SUCH a blast with this game. A few performance hiccups here and there, but it's early access and 99% of the time it's smooth as silk. I typically don't play ARPGs to completion, Diablo IV really didn't click, felt like a repetative grindfest. This game feels lovingly designed, the overworld and dungeons clearly have been assembled with care, there are all sorts of goodies hidden off the beaten path. I expect as much from the team behind the Ori games - this is a handcrafted gorgeous world to inhabit. Gross too, but definitely gorgeous. The combat is challenging enough to make for a fun experience, and you can tweak the challenge by using "cursed" gear if you prefer. (i.e. you don't typically lose XP on death, but some gear have perks that will give you more XP at the risk of losing it upon death, or even being hit!) - I'm about 17 hours in and definitely give it my stamp of approval. Very excited to see Moon Studio continue to build out this world.

This game absolutely slaps. If you like deckbuilders and also are partial to high quality narrative work, this might be a good recommendation for you. The vibes are immaculate. Nothing feels more badass than "negotiating" with a would-be assassin to give him a bunch of debuffs for the actually combat encounter. Very slick.

It's pretty good. Movement feels absolutely incredible, especially once you get the paraglider and grapple hook. Combat is pretty fun to start, but once you get your first couple of inhibitors and perks, you might just start mowing through bad guys, which isn't as satisfying as the white knuckle close calls from the early part of the game. I recommend going into a GRE building that's two levels above yours for a real good challenge. Even turning the difficulty up to hard halfway through didn't make it all that challenging, you eventually become a parkour combat god, which feels good, but it was more enjoyable when I felt over my head and the best option became RUN AWAY. Toward the end of the game, when the game gave me the "RUN AWAY" prompts, I just hung back, funneled the zombies in a hallway, tossed a few molotovs and called it a day. Eventually they stop spawning. (This is one of the only ways to get the ridiculous number of "uncommon" trophies you'll need for most upgrades)

As far as the story, the writing is good enough, sometimes it's not good whatsoever, but there are high points for sure. Every choice made me feel like ♥♥♥♥, though. That might be the point of the game, so I can't hold it against them too much. You can't save everyone, and all that. After finishing the game, and seeing what I would think is the bad ending, I don't really feel compelled to return to finish up the side quests. Maybe if my friends want to do a few together that would be dope, but this was mostly a solo adventure for me, I could never get the distress calls to work, so no matter how I tried, I wasn't able to help strangers in need.

This game is truly terrifying and amazing. The first time a ghost exhales loudly into your ear, it will spook the hell out of you. 10/10 you will not catch me dead using the spirit box in a dark room.

Simply incredible top to bottom. The best VR game currently in existence. If you're using an Oculus linked, turn off any booster program (like Razer Cortex) - doesn't play nicely with Steam VR. Took me awhile to learn this, but after that it ran smooth as butter. Such an awesome game.

One of the greatest games I have ever played. A truly beautiful story that can only be told through the medium of a game. I beg you to buy this game, sit down and play it for a few hours, beat it twice, and tell me I'm wrong.

Certainly one of the best strategy games in recent memory... Worth $60, but you can get it for much, much less. Don't miss out.
