I'm a gay man, so please know I'm not blindly downrating this game because "Too woke," but it is. They removed the things that made it feel like dragon age. No more hate on mages, nobody cares what races you are. Racism and prejudice are just facts of life and the world doesn't feel real without them--nevermind when they were prevalent in all the other games and now it's suddenly gone. "Woke" is just as bad as religion when it comes to shoving it down peoples throats. Great to have and be proud of--don't force it on other people that don't want it!

Gameplay and performance-wise, the game is fine, but when they focus on giving you more options to influence your gender identity than the story, it's not a bioware game, it's not a dragon age game, and it's not an RPG. It's an action-adventure at best with very shallow writing that disrespects a lot of returning characters.

I'm disappointed in what Bioware has become.

Don't waste your time. Combat's okay, story is just straight cheesy, and the majority of the characters are just downright cringe. Getting through the side missions felt like a chore by the end. Glad this studio won't get another chance to screw it up again.

I tried to like this game since I loved every other Dragon Age game. I played this for 36 hours and while there are good moments, the MMO feeling sidequests and companion stuff ended up breaking me. I realized I didn't really like any of the characters or enjoyed any of their story. I was just trying to complete it all so that I could get the good ending. Maybe I'll come back, but I'm so burned out.
