Soul Calibur VI!

It's been a while for the SC IP, Where do I start?

Well I guess I will start with my personal attatchment to this IP. My first Soul Calibur game as a child was Soul Calibur II for the PS2, and also at some point I had the gamecube version as well. Soul Calibur was a fighting game that surpirsed me, even at my young, ripe age. Weapons? In a fighting game? It was absolute madness.

Since then, it has evolved gradually. Frankly I didn't think I would ever see a game past Soul Calibur V, because it sold poorly. compared to what they wanted it to sell like. I picked up a copy of Soul Calibur V for the PS3 when I had tried to get back into the series back in 2016. I was amazed at how they took the story and the characters.

Well, I guess it's time to talk about Soul Calibur VI. The graphics seem that of almost no improvement on Soul Calibur V aside from Shaders and Lighting. The content seems to be shorthanded, more than Soul Calibur V. The story cutscenes for the main quest line are very pretty, but dull- as they are mostly just pictures with text and there is rarely ever an actual cutscenes or video. The Character Creation is very bogged, compared to sSoul Calibur V's as well, Including little to no unique items to equip your custom heroes or villains with.

All the negatives aside, Soul Calibur VI has heart and it was also just released. After so many years, we have shown Bandai NAMCO that we love this series and care for the story and the game. With all this information, I know they will continue to give it content, fix the bugs (Especially the unspeakable Network ones), and improve the overall package deal you want to call, Soul Calibur VI.

The combat seems to be very streamlined and combos are harder to do, as the developers put in a lot of new mechanics for battle. One great addition to this game, no other Soul Calibur game has done before is the Custom Character Story Mode. What I mean by that is you can go through a unique story with different paths of Karma, to show what kind of character and person you will become in the end. This involves making a character, choosing from playstyles/fightingstyles of choice, moving your character Breast Slider all the way Up (Marv), to developing and sinking time and thought into how you want to play out in the grand scheme of the story.

Is this a bad game? No.
Is it a Good game? Depends on your definition of "Good."
Is it a game worth Investing in? Yes.

Give it a try, there will be more content. There will be more love put into the game and the community.

Just be patient guys, like with every new baby.
