I'm happy this came to Steam this year. Trackmania is a great game to kick back and relax and get into a zone. Controls feels great and it's satisfying to hit those sweet spots on the track.

Can't wait for the Rally car to come back to us :)

I've always wanted to be like Zak Bagans and now I can with this simple game!

In all honesty it's still in its early stages. Would love to see more ghost activity and animations, but I presume that's assured as this game starts to develop more.
A ghost hunter simulation game is a great pitch, and I can't wait to see it develop further.

EDIT:
Let me add a little math for perspective so we know what we are getting into.

Street Fighter V's Season 3 Character Pass is currently $39.99 CAD. It gets you 6 characters, each with a new skin + recolours. We won't count the colour swaps, so 6 characters + 6 skins.

DOA 6's Season 1 Pass includes 2 characters and 62 costumes for $102.99 CAD.

Let's assume each character costs $5.

Street Fighter: $30 on characters, $10 / 6 skins = $1.67/skin.

DOA6: $10 on characters, $92 / 62 skins = $1.48/skin

$1.50 per skin is not too bad. Reasonable for paid content that's strictly cosmetic.

It is still quite pricey, and they can easily reduce the cost per skin to $1, which would already save $30 on the bundle.

The Season Pass for DOA is definitely more meant for the cosmetics, it's a huge waste if you only want the characters.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Based on the backlash on the main game page, the reviews should be mixed.
Alas, that isn't my problem.

I'm simple. I look at the contents of the Season Pass, I like what I see, I buy the pass.

If you don't like what you see, don't get the Pass. The characters and outfits will be available to purchase separately. If you like everything you see, you will be saving money with the pass.

Am I saving money? Yes.

Is it still unnecessarily pricey? Yes.

I'm buying this one because I do want to support the devs as I love the work they have put into these.

I can't assure I will be spending this much on another Season Pass. I don't think the content, in a broad sense, is actually worth this much money. This is very much feels like a one-time thing for me.

Please make future Pass' more affordable. I would love to be a repeat customer and continue supporting the devs through this extra content.

If you are posting a negative review because of the Season Pass, I suggest doing so on the Season Pass' page, not here. This place should be for reviews of the base game.

Dead or Alive 6 feels really really good.
I have never played a DOA before, even though I have DOA5 collecting dust in my library... Anyway.

I'm a casual when it comes to fighting games, so I don't consider myself too skilled. But going through the training and dabbling a bit in the Arcade Mode, it's clear to me that this game is easy to pick up, and hard to master. And i think that's a really important aspect of a fighting game.

+ The environments look pretty, and the characters look great. No complaints here.

+ Fighting feels very satisfying. Every combo chain, every sound effect of a character's breaking body, environment ambience and interactions. Nothing feels jagged and the interactions mesh with each other to form a smooth flow.

+ Music is upbeat and catchy. Little repetitive but through jumping in and out of game modes it's hardly noticeable.

= Voice acting is fine, I'm not swayed either way. Both Japanese and English suit the characters. Though I haven't seen all the characters, the mouth movements don't seem to line up 100% of the time. It would be nice if there was separate mouth animation for both English + Japanese, as well as smoothing it out overall.

= There are plenty of cosmetic options in the base game without having to buy DLC, but you will have to put in a lot of time if you want to unlock most of them. You get a handful of cosmetics to use in the beginning, and even if you don't have a specific cosmetic you can still gawk at it in the character select screen, if you'd so like. (Honoka's hoodies look very
comfy).

= Yes, the Season Pass is expensive. Look above for what I have to say about that.
We have a preview of what is to come in this Season Pass. If you like what you see and intend on getting all of its contents, you're probably going to save a few bucks getting the Pass. If you see the contents and you aren't quite sure, or maybe you just want the characters, don't bother. Save your money and buy the characters/cosmetics you want separately and you'll probably spend less then you would have purchasing the Season pass.

Overall, is the base game good? Yes, I quite enjoy it. The full price tag is a little hefty but right now it's 10% off. the base game is $68.99 CAD (Canadian), but with the sale I get it for $62.09. In a world where your standard AAA game costs $80, I will gladly pay $60 instead.

tl;dr I get to beat up shirtless men senselessly as a pink haired schoolgirl wearing a skimpy outfit, 10/10

"You should totally play this game" my friends say with a slight chuckle.
"What game?" I ask, curiously.
"Doki Doki Literature Club."
*looks it up*
"...Y'know what? **** it."
It's not my genre of game, but it's Friday night, so you know? Why not. I broadcast it and I humour them.

We laughed at the fact it was tagged as Psychological Horror. Surely it's a joke tag right?

No.
It's not.

Team Salvato does a beautiful job with this, and I really do hope they do a lot more like this.
Buy the Fan Pack. support them for this free game. It's a masterpiece.

To round out my intial thoughts, at first glance I thought it was just another block game.

But as I played further, I found out that there was enough unique to the game to keep it a fresh and new experience.

My only complaint is the slight server latency I appear to get every so often. But seeing as this game is early in its stages I can forget about that. I like this direction the game is taking, and I can't wait to see it develop further.
