For an April Fools' joke, the game was clearly put together with a lot of love. It has a lot of callbacks that anybody who's ever played a Sonic game will enjoy (though it would also serve as a good introduction to Sonic's broader friend group for anyone interested in the series, but only loosely familiar with its colourful cast), the writing is witty (especially Espio's attempts at so-called poetry, and the resolution of the Casino Car), and the gameplay is a lot like a simplified version of Ace Attorney (so it's fun, especially if you like solving mysteries) with a bunch of Sonic special stages thrown in (which get somewhat hard towards the end, and you may need to bang your head against a wall until you memorize the layout and best route). The mystery is also fairly easy to follow, so you can likely solve it as you go along if you pay close attention and are good with logical thinking. Also, the conductor's wife is kind of hot, and I'm not sure how to feel about that besides saying he's a very lucky man. Overall, it's an 8/10 game, it's a great way to kill an afternoon, but you may not like it if you're not big on the Ace Attorney-style gameplay or brute forcing the special stages.

Fun game, great story and cool characters! I loved it! I just get a bit frustrated sometimes when I lose on the think pad...
